dats the irony i want to clarify w/ health department kay sa chong hua, CDC, perpetual and some others ila jud iapil sa questionaire if naa ba tatoo nd ear pierce.. if naa dn dili pwd mo donate.. take for example naa ko gi-preck na pimple sa ako ear ni ulat din wa dawata sa chong hua as donor.. i askd y mn pwd ang baye modonate.. gues wat the med tech answered, AMBOT

How come naka-donate man lagi ko sa chong hua last month? Duna koy piercing sa left ear. Pagka way klaro sa ilang guidelines...

pwede ang persons with piercings/tattoos basta 1 year or more na after sa pagpierce/pagtattoo. Trust me, specialty nako ni ang blood bank, hehe. I think some private hospitals/laboratories are very cautious sa commercial donors (those who donate blood in exchange for cash) kay usually kani sila ang mu-test positive for hepa (or God forbid, HIV), so if the interviewer is suspicious sa imong lifestyle, i-reject na ka nila. And if duda sila sa mga tattoos/piercings... But the official protocol followed by the DOH is ok and piercings and tattoos basta more than a year na since pagtusok...[br]Posted on: December 21, 2007, 11:40:07 AM_________________________________________________a nyway, it's good to donate blood, you can do it once every three months. daghan man gud kaayo nanginahanglan...and it's also good cause you get to be screened for hepB, HIV and other diseases... the DOH blood banks have merged (RBCC and RBC), naa atbang sa McDonald's sa jones. You can also get blood there if you need some. They prioritize those who have voluntarily donated blood and have their donor cards with them. No commercial donors though, it's against the law to donate blood for money...

if so can you help me get a certificate that my scar in the ear is not earpierce and even if it is i can donate... I donate my blood for free ever since...

asa ka ngatry ug donate last time? chong hua? i think you don't need a certificate kay the questionnaire starts with "Within the past year, have you had...." then apil under ana ang piercing/tattoos... so if it's more than a year, you can answer NO. But if you really need a certificate, ingni lang ko, hehe. Sa RBC (regional blood center), ok ra jud ang mga tusok basta more than a year na. Naa pud ko tattoo and piercings. Makatawa ka didto kay ang medtech puno sa piercings, asta lip and tongue, hehe... basta pasado ka sa blood screening, ok ra gyud.
