hi shamankin6, we give internation k9 standard commands, whisper and hand signals.

standard for dog training exist for the safety of handlers, trainers and their owner, those who are trying to be different must be aware of the danger he/she would inflict to his dog , himself, or the owner. wrong handling could be fatal to both parties and others as well.

My dog is about 5 months right now. Is that a mature enough age to be trained? What's the right age for dogs to start training?

safety should always be the paramount concern of the owner/handlers/trainers regardless of their philosophy, unless you are a canine psycologist, i would say its safe to alter standars for dog training, care and handling.
