Christopher "Popoy" Calumba and Brian Sacro - I've worked with these bassists and yes they are by far 2 of the best bassists in my time.

Popoy is one of the very few bassists who can catch up to my speed of playing. He has a damn good ear with a good heart.

Brian is a bassist that puts a lot heart into his playing. He knows a lot of techniques in the bass but would rather stick to what he FEELS is good.

Rose "Lalay" Lim is one exceptional bassist. I remember back in 1996, we were still band mates in a group that was to be sent to Manila. Before we'd practice, this young lady would sit in front of their audio component and play along with Hendrix and Soundgarden tracks. Later on I found out that that was her finger exercise. She was still 16 that time.

The legendary Chito Zafra of Johnnie, White Side Wall (and a good number of bands). Aside from him being my chosen personal computer tech, he is also a bassist whose playing I could rely on. This seasoned player has a lot of talent and heart in his playing. Chito has a very good ear with real killer fingers that could slap your bass guitar like there's no tomorrow. PEACE CHET!!

I dunno about the younger players though because so far, I haven't heard anyone who is as good as the bassists I've mentioned above. I'm sure there are a lot out there who are good but hey, each musician has their own taste and preference in playing.
