    hmmmm business ideas.

    hi guys, im an entrepreneur myself and i would have to appologize in advance with my opinions if these would offend anybody.

    1st i believe that for one to be successful in business, one should do more than what the ordinary and common people do.

    2nd, if one wants to reach the apex of business, one should develop the skill and eye for detecting the slightest change and development of time. Ever wonder why John Gokongwei started Sun Cellular when Globe and Smart were already dominating the wireless industry in the Phils? I only found out recently that Sun Cellular is now actually 10 steps ahead of Globe and Smart. The infrastructure of Sun Cellular is already 3G-5G capable, which means that Sun Cellular is already capable of high-speed video conferencing over mobile phones. Smart and Globe doesnt have that and if the would want to upgrade, this would take alot of time and money on their part. One must look on whats is in the future.

    3rd, there never was a successful business man who hasnt failed at least 3x in business. It's always a prerequisite in success that one must fail first. The difference between successfull business people and ordinary people is that business people always face and embrace their fear of failure. Remember that it doesnt matter how many time you failed, but by how many times you stood up to your knees and still stick to the fight. Fail if you must if success is that important to you! Successful people simply failed alot of times to achieve success compared to ordinary and mediocre people.

    4th, Didnt you guys know that business people have more advantage on taxes compared to when youre in a job. In a job, before you get your paycheck, its all already been taxed by the goverment. While in business, before the government gets its taxes, you basically spend first. And whats left is being taxed. Take the illustration for example:

    Employee:
    Salary --------- 10,000
    less:
    benefits ---- 2,000 ---- sss, pag-ibig, etc
    tax (10%)-- 1,000
    =====
    Net Income --- 7,000
    less:
    expenses -- 5,000 ---- day-to-day expenses
    =====
    Savings-------- 2,000

    Business:
    Gross Income -- 10,000
    less:
    expenses------ 5,000 day-to-day expenses
    benefits ------- 2,000 sss, pag-ibig, etc
    =====
    Net Income ----- 3,000
    less:
    tax (%10) ---- 300
    =====
    Savings --------- 2,700

    This is one of the SECRETS of the RICH!!!

    4th, Mindset, before you can venture into the exciting world of business, one should let go of the employee mentality. YOUR BUSINESS WILL NEVER WORK if you run it like your an EMPLOYEE!!! alot of ordinary people make false presumptions in business where in fact, they just dont know what the hell they are doing! pity! If you want to go into business, THINK LIKE A BUSINESS MAN!!!

    5th, Growth, guys, never under-estimate the power of your mind!!! you have to feed it for growth. If you want to go in to business, feed your mind first. Let go of your daily routine. Remember that you've been doing your routine for best part of your life and the result of that is your life now, how can you expect to see different results if you still continue to do your routine. Your income will never outgrow your self-image. To be successfull in business, you have to be a good leader, a good speaker, a good student, a good teacher, a good motivator, and a good doer.
    Read books by John Maxwell, Stephen Covey, Og Mandino and many others.

    6th, Network, the size of your business is not determined by the number of your employees, but by the number of partners. Take advantage of partnerships, NETWORK! You can never be successfull in anything if you do it alone. Just reflect in your life's successes. One way or another there has always been a form of partnership from somebody, no matter how small, was involved.

    7th, One must have EXTRA-ORDINARY PEOPLE RELATIONSHIP SKILLS. Always go the extra mile. That's one of the best assets in business because this will build consumer base. Businesses earn because of consumers, and consumers buy from you when you can relate to them. SAKTO!?

    8th, be disciplined, in everything you do. One of the reasons why alot of start-up businesses fail is that the business owners tend to relax because they think that once they start the business, the business will take care of its own. A business is just like a mango tree, you have to work on it day-in and day-out for atleast 5 years before it can bear its fruit for you. Can you work hard for atleast 5 years to see the results? Acidity tests on business shows that only 1% of new businesses survive for the next 5-10 years. Now you know...

    9th, always see things at different perspectives to develop your sense of positive thinking and optimism. There will always be problems, but then successfull business people see the opportunity first before the problem.

    10th, learn to pray and read the Bible. Its quite interesting to know that all successfull business models were derived from the Bible. I guarantee you... IT REALLY WORKS!!! and Most of all, praying helps you get back on your feet and to NEVER GIVE UP!!!

    I Hope that these insights can help you guys in building your future. I've been in business for 6 years now and i've been to almost everything the world slam at me. And these things have helped me thru the struggle. I hope that these things can also help you guys!!!

    I'd love to get your feedback on these....

    Good Luck and God Bless!!!

    that's a pretty broad question. are u talking about an invention? there are a lot of good inventions out there but these ideas don't sometimes succeed in real world. take for example that hit show in the past, "Popular Science". Lots of good ideas there but some don't really make it.

    a good idea is more than just an invention, it's more than just answering a need. it's seeing the whole picture for itself and realizing the small details that goes with it. what do I mean? Given your example, john gokongwei. when he started in the shoe business there must have been tons of shoemakers and shoeshops in manila but still, he rose above them. Do now get what I mean? Gokongwei's success was more than just about the shoes. If you could learn from that, capture his brilliance, then maybe we all could be the next Bill Gates, the next Lucio Tan and the next Gokongweis.
