Hala ka diha. Di lang pod nato nganlan oi kay bad for the biz na. It's enough nga we describe its location. Bag-o raba na gi-renovate kay nasunog. But ang ako lang is dapat careful lang gyud ta. Especially in hotels. Most hotels have chain locks. Siguro, dapat before sad ta matulog, we use it aron ma-make sure nga di gyud madali-dali ug sulod. If ever mugawas sad ta, siguro, it's best if we don't leave our valuables inside the room. If naa sad ta valuables that we can't take everywhere with us, I think naa man safety deposit boxes ang mga hotels. But then again, di ba naa sad toy nawala nga very expensive necklace sometime during the ASEAN Summit? Or mao ba to? Basta something that cost hundreds of thousands nga necklace and it was even kept in the safe? So it's not just Ozamiz. Oh, and ka-remember sad ko sa storya sa akong former landlady, nawad-an silag undies sa isa ka sikat nga motel sa Cebu. Which reminds me, naa sad kunoy "small tv sets" sa office sa owner that resemble "monitors" hehehe. Think Sliver. Hehe. So siguro, dapat careful lang gyud ta where we stay.

As for protection money, bisan asa man na. Mao bitaw ang Globe towers sigehan lang ug kasunog coz they refuse to pay revolutionary taxes that can also be considered as protection money. Di ba?

So far, peaceful man diri. And the businesses that have been here for so long seem to be thriving pretty well and wa man nangalugi. But one thing nga akong na-think about most Ozamiznon is that di kaayo sila entrepreneurial. I mean, mas mo-thrive ang retail industry rather than any other industries. But that's just my opinion.

Luoy baya ang Ozamiz coz naa man guy stigma but if you're in Ozamiz and it has inculturated itself into you, you won't think nga there's something scary or unusual with how things are done.

    ----
laag kamo sa Ozamiz...kung gusto jud mo ma relax...mao na ang best place kay wa jud saba, way samok, way hasul...larga dayon...hehe

    Amen. Hehe.

But it helps baya sometimes, kung naa kas laing lugar, you just mention casually that you're from Ozamiz and you know "people" hehehehe, medyo naa kay leverage in some ways.
