to make the router act as a wireless AP, plug cable from modem to 1 of the router's 4 lan ports instead of the WAN port.

Kung PLDT ang imong DSL usually ang modem na gamit nila is zyxel modems, the default ip address for this brand of modem is 192.168.1.1... and it should be in bridge mode. Kasi kung naka routing mode another settings will apply to make it work..

To make your network work you should do this process..(for bridge mode modem)

1 - Connect one of your PC directly into the modem provided by your ISP...LAN Settings of your PC should be like this..

IP Address: 192.168.1.5
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Primary DNS Server: 192168.1.1

If this settings can connect to the internet directly connected from the modem then you are ready to setup your network...

1- disconnect your PC from the modem and then connect it to the router (you are now disconnected from internet) try to access the setup page of your router and change its IP address from 192.168.1.1. to 192.168.1.2 then save changes you made from your router..

2 - this time connect your router to the modem.

3 - make some changes in your LAN setting from your PC 1
IP Address: 192.168.1.5
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.2
Primary DNS Server: 192168.1.2

for your PC2
IP Address: 192.168.1.6
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.2
Primary DNS Server: 192168.1.2

for your Wireless PC
IP Address: 192.168.1.7
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.2
Primary DNS Server: 192168.1.2

Note: once youre able to connect to the wireless network, don't leave your wireless connectivity unsecured.

ugma(monday) ni nako mag configure nasad ko og balika about ani..
ok raman if lahi nasad nga subnetwork as long as maka connect sila sa internet ila laptops..mao ra jud na ang main purpose ana nila..

actually naa na jud existing nga lan with server naka dhcp mode siya..
by default wala raman ta ka buhaton sa ?..sa configuration or imo lng i RENEW ra didto sa "STATUS" setting sa router.
maka renew siya but dili siya ka kuha sa INTERNET.
naka try na jud ko og setup ani nga WIRELESS ROUTER in fact 5 times na nimo..PERO in a SIMPLE OFFICE lang siya..
ie. naa pc (PLDT connection) with XYZEL modem..niya gamitan og LINKSYS ..dali raman..

pero KARON nga problem is naa na EXISTING nga LAN with server with INTERNET na daan.

ako i try ang suggestion ni *seeteemahsuu*
kay wala man nako gi try nga gi plug nako sa one of the switch port sa ROUTER...
didto man sa WLAN nako gi plug..
