Smart Wifi and Linksys Router, anybody use it?

im using smart and linksys router... no problems with my connection

assuming u have not changed the settings of the linksys, meaning ur linksys is on DHCP(as what u said):

1. check if the PC gets an IP address from the linksys router. HOW? get to the cmd prompt and type "ipconfig" ... it should, by default give 192.168.1.100 since linksys uses 192.168.1.0 network

2. if not then check TCP/IP settings on your PC... it should be set to Obtain IP address automatically..... if not then change it to obtain IP automatically

lets leave it up to here 1st... pls post for any progress...
we need to make sure the PC gets an IP from the router

its just very simple problem...

configure your smart bro (bridge mode) --- then copy the configuration of the smart bro router to the linksys like the pvc and every parameters.... then it will work fine...

Bro, try dw configure sa imng router as PPPoE. Unya gamita imng username and pwd nga gihatag sa smart. mao mn na gibuhat sa akng migo dri sa amng apartment.

not really the best router, but only good.

as far as i know, private IP ang ginahatag sa SMART Bro, usually the same range sa linksys router> 192.168.1.x which goes in conflict with the router's own IP. i=change lang ang IP sa imo router like 10.10.10.1 or 192.168.5.1 then after saving the settings, power cycle lang

A friend of mine got smart wifi, which worked just fine. Now he purchased a router (LinkSys Wireless G-Router) and dont know what and how he has to configure the router to use it with Smart Wifi. He just plugged it and cant access the internet at all.

I have DSL, so I could not tell him more about how to use Smart Wifi with the router, but maybe somebody here in the forum has a connection with Smart Wifi and router and can give some hints.

naka sulay nako ani bro, but with different router nga ASUS. i have a friend nga nagpa setup nako ug LAN with internet shared using his
smartbro.. usually ang smartbro kay naa nay username ug password before ka maka sulod sa internet.. ang ako gbuhat is gi setup nako
typical lang setup like smartbro -------------->router (dhcp server enabled)------->switch---------------->PC's (dynamic ip's). then try ko connect using one pc sa internet,
then naay ni prompt to put the username and password.. after ana, all pc can connect na sa internet.. maski nig restart nmo, dli nana mag ask
utro sa password kay naka save na ang username and password automarically..

@ed_ebs sakto ka bro, bisan pa imo na e reformat dili nana mangayo og username and password except dli ka kabayad sa bill or mag change ka landcard..
