Apparently, most of you are working at the engineering center. I want to hear some feedbacks about the plant operations esp. those located at MEPZ1. I understand PETC jobs are not as demanding compared to those who are working in the wire harness operations In fact, some engineers can surf the net while waiting for requirements from the customers. How true

it's a matter of time management bro.
I was a plant support engr at plt224. If you plan out your activities within the week and month, from there you can catch up whatever comes the way..But now I am offshore supporting lear's direct customers, still I can browse the net..working an hrs straight, completing the job...give ur self a break...most japanese here, are smoking when taking a break..

Bro, ako maingon nimo, dili ka magmahay sa skills and capabilities nga imong makat-onan ani nga company, sama sa gipang ingon sa among pinalanggang kauban sa taas. If you love cars, then this company is for you. Lear Corporation = CARS. It is also a Fortune 500 Company and on New York Stock Exchange, LEA. Career growth is very vast since there is an internal hiring within the company in a different department. So if you dont like the job you were hired, in 6 months, you can shift to a different team, from Product, systems, electronics, testing and RF engineering; there are also C programmers for our embedded modules for cars. To answer your question regarding the plant, depends also on which team you will be in. But as I said above, if you dont like the job you were hired, you can always choose 6 months after whether it is in PETC, CE, COE or plant.

You can surf anytime you like... That's R&D... as long as aware ka sa imong commitments (deadlines, design quality, etc.) walay problema... Surfing the net is also a big ++++ on your knowledge....

Being in Lear is better than to be connected with Japanese or Taiwanese companies... higher salary over job ratio.

Still, there are lot of much better companies compared with Lear, don't stop there... If you have already gained reasonable experience, dili naka maglisod pangita ug trabaho...

Correct! If you're looking a company that can help you in your future endeavors..LEAR can do it. In LEAR, people come and go kay humot naman sa other companies including companies abroad.

Bisan asa ka bro naa gyud nang problema sa management bro basta ikaw mismo dili kamao mo adjust...
Dili man ang company mao ang naa problema siguro, kay nindot man og benepesyo... Adto paka og mga chines company sulay bro, dili lang management ang bati hasta company..hehehe....
Usahay kita wala nata kabantay nga subra ra atong gihunahuna gud. sa basket pa bro hunahuna ray nag daku ba...hehehehe

Thanks everyone for the sincere opinion. I believe Lear is generally one of the better companies in the zone, in term of pay & benefits. My study deals on people and skills development. For those who have the opportunities to be on short-term or long-term assignments, you are far better than the rest because of the per diem and the chance to see the world for free. However, it would be nice to see that this benefit is fairly given to deserving employees. Management are in general very professional and humble, except for a few whose titles have gone up to their heads.

Bottomline, Lear is an ideal place to grow and to realize your dreams. However, as an individual, one should be wise enough to recognize the signs when it is time to look beyond the horizon. As the saying goes, the grass is always greener at the other side of the fence. Just be sure you know which side you are on.

Sakto sad ka nga offshore assignments either long term or short term should be fairly given to deserving employees. Dako gyud na nga issue among employees sa Lear and most of the time cause misunderstanding among employees. Its purely voluntary pero kinsa sad gud mobalibad ana nga opportunity nga palargahon ka, naa man gani pero very valid gyud ang reason. Siguro lack of proper explaination lang in the part of the managers sa iya mga tao why mao ni ang gipalarga bisan sige na balik2x larga kay naa man sad time specific name gyud i-request sa customer for offshore support. Bisan asa man sad gisuro nga company naa gyud ingon ani nga issue basta walay proper information ang mga employees.
