known gyud na ang sony drives sa pagka-pilian ug cd ug dvd. go for ASUS or LITE-ON kung mupalit ka ug optical drive.

I think your Sony CD-RW CRX220E1 is a rebranded Lite-ON product.

If cleaning the lens won't work, try to update the firmware (lite-on firmware) and see if that solves your problem.

Sony CRX220E1 (OEM LTR-52246S). It's an OEM Lite-on CD-RW drive.

There's always danger when flashing/loading/changing firmwares. Make sure you have a stable power supply. If you're caught by a power interruption while you're in the middle of updating the firmware, you'll end up with an expensive paperweight.
