What is the purpose of leaving a legacy? I think people who want to leave legacy are the people who are unhappy in this world thats why they want someone to remember them.

it's the search for meaning. life has meaning when you've left a mark, esp that which touches the lives of people.

So the meaning of your life is to touch other people lives, how about yourself? Why should you touch others? why not yourself? You have no duty to anyone but to yourself.
