yes, importante kau ang diploma but it is just a tool in the harsh world of job employment. if u know how to harness it well, then good 4 u.
i have classmeyts who r top of our class and now working well in procter & gamble, san miguel, petron, and abroad. i also have classmeyts nga academic performers but didnt do well in the "real" life. Dats y good academics is not the only 1 to ensure a good future but how well you carry urself.
I also have a classmeyt b4 nga very bugoy kau (kauban ra mi..hehe), but is now a top ranking boss in one of the Mepz firms. Also i hv a neighboor dat didnt even finish college, pwerteng bugoya, adis-adis, sigeg ngita rambol sauna but in a twist of fate, he's now the "right hand" of the owner of one of the call centers here.
I also hv friends & acquaintances nga mga negosyante nga ila negosyo wa jud mo-fit sa ila gi-eskwelahan. but thinking it over, nagamit ra man pud diay in some other ways...like mr. jack gaisano is a chemical engineer but nagamit ra ang iyang engineering discipline, engineering management, and other math & sciences in running the affairs of his mall business...another friend is also working as loans officer in a bank for a long time (also a licensed engineer) but somehow gamit jud kno kau niya ang statistics, calculus, and algebra...
One thing is common to them: Academically below average but very "STREETSMART". if moreso if u r academically excellent mixed w/ some streetsmart sense, then d only way to go is up...
