    @ Thadz & yokam: GAME ANALYSIS DAUN...hahaha

    ---------------------------

first i wanna say...KALAGOT KAY NAPILDE ANG USC!!!....

Ako tan-aw sa game..1st half execution was fine, not really spectacular but good nonetheless..Llanto was getting the rebounds, Nino Ramirez was hitting his shots from the outside and Joven Cid Cortes was scoring off putbacks..Im not sure pero I was surprised sa ila starting lineup..Nino came off the bench while it was Giovanni Padillo who started..Padayao also came off the bench(oh well, I never thought he will be playing)..Mura og di kasustain sa momentum ang USC kay once they make a run, Cobras make a run of their own..Game was close until the last 33 seconds when SWU put it away leading by 4 thanks to Elvid Polegrates steady hand at the freethrow line..The endgame collapse exposed the immaturity of USC's point guard, they missed Harvey Lazalita in the stretch..Elvid Poligrates(SWU #10) took Jacques Bautista to school, shaking him off with a crossover dribble from top of the key and scores on a layup inside 1 minute, could have been the game's turning point..Paul Joven also had some unnecessary fouls at endgame and missed a three with about 51 seconds remaining that could have given USC the lead..There was also a stretch where it was Nino on Zanoria...IMHO, Sam Hermosa was doing a good job on Eric Z already, and it didnt seem like they switched on the pick kay Ramirez was guarding Zanoria from the backcourt pa..One thing sad siguro that contributed to SWU's newfound strength is the activation of 6-4 Clefford Maguate, allowing Chris Litorja, Richie Jalandoni, Mar Canonigo and Richard Gianchand to focus sa power forward and even the small forward spot, even affording Eric Zanoria to play 2 guard in the last minute...Oh well, di na lang ko mocomment about unsay outcome if nakaduwa si Emel and the French guy in training sad sa USC(around 6-2/6-3 sad to)...and yes, if I heard it right ganiha, there's one big man coming up for USC..as in BIG jud pangontra kang Greg Slaughter...

    @dark_phoenix:

Ok ra to oi, di bitaw lubong.

Anyway, here's how I saw the game:

First, I think Jay Ramirez and Mike Reyes is trying to do some sort of experiment, especially with the newcomers. If you notice, Enrico Llanto was benched for quite some time during the second and third quarter while Niño Ramirez didn't start and at the same time, was benched too for some significant minutes. Joven Cortes was given an apple's share of playing time (which he truly deserve), Johmel Igao and Jacques Bautista also received some major minutes in the floor. Giovanni Padillo, Paul Joven, and Carlo Padayao didn't see much action too. These guys are big time contributors for USC.

Second, SWU really got better and stronger (as I expected right after the CeSAFI season). Clefford Maguate did some major contributions while Eric Zanoria and Elvid Poligrates did most of the damage. Maguate was surprising and alarming in the first quarter, he plays center but brought the ball down the court, coast to coast pa gyud.

Third, USC badly needs a big man. Period.hehe.

My assessment about the game? USC could've broke the game open as early as the second quarter if Llanto, Ramirez, and Joven were on the court at the same time, with Hermosa and Cortes.

3 things nga nagpasulit jud sa akong P30:

1.) Eric Zanoria's end game slam
2.) Jacques Bautista's sick dribbling in the half court, sayang lang na turnover ang pass
3.) Jacques Bautista's alleyoop pass to Codilla

Elvid Poligrates. Klaro man sa dinuwaan, labi na pag warm-up.

    Reserve that for CeSAFI.hehe

Unsa kaha ug ACT and USC mag abot sa CeSAFI semifinals..hehe

and oh by the way, I'd like to say my thanks to coach Jay Ramirez, kay nakalibre intawon ko wala na bayad sa entrance fee when he saw me outside the gates...hehehe

There are actually 3 big men nga naay chance makaduwa sa USC, and I mean guys standing 6-6 and above, I mean one is really a lot taller than 6-6..hehehe....kulang pa jud ang bench sa USC....ok ra ang guard rotation but hina jud ang frontcourt compared to other teams

agree bitaw sad ko ani yokam!
murag nag-experiment ra bitaw si coach jay!

that first five was new to me!

    no Llanto, no Ramirez!

and it seems like Hermosa was the next Ramirez, doing the "inside slashing" for the
    warriors!

Pero murag di man kaarte si hermosa! 6'4 maguate and 6'5 jalandoni ang iyang lutsan!
    maglisod siya!
murag gipraktis siya ni coach jay in replacement for niño who is out for the next cesafi season!
i also noticed cortes played longer time as he was never before!

poligrates and zanoria were also big threats for the warriors!
laliman ka, back-to-back basket by poligrates! iya tanang drive ang naka paapas sa cobras!

i even saw eddie bakker nga murag naa nay porma iyang duwa! inig pasa, mo-cooperate na sa set-play!

ako sad giatangan ang pagbalik ni "mr. elastic", morsie akad of UV, who is out for the last cesafi season due to injury! ACL bah to iyaha yokam?

    matsalam!

naa pay wala gipakita siEddie Bakker sa game last night..Eddie has actually added a deadly 3 point shot to his arsenal..he dropped 3 long range bombs kadtong tuneup nila sa Lhullier, kadtong play para sa iyaha, I didnt see it happen yesterday..ni start si Llanto oi, si Ramirez wala, ila starting 5 kay llanto, cortes, padillo, ferraren, joven..maybe next season, Rowe will start instead of ferraren..wa diay ka kabantay naa si Rowe sa USC bench..hehe, nakaplainclothes lang nuon wla naka jersey hehehe...next VAAA, mas exciting Project Epsilon playing alongside best buddy Project Piston..hmm
