Bro I think you should know first what type of Spirits are we talking here.
Communicating with the spirits of the dead are prohibited in the bible and most specially by GOD.
So there's no point to consider praying or communicating to God is a violation or a confusion.
Its His commandments to pray and Christ preached it to pray to the Father (Matthew 6:9-).
So the allowable communication with the spirit is permitted by God, towards angels, and God the Father, and Christ.
Its He's commandments to pray, and prayer is by our hearts.

it dont think its a gud idea to seek them out for purposes of disturbing or for fun. xcept kng cla jd ang mo initiate, which i believe, in most cases, ing-ani jd.

its biblical that not to seek or communicate with them.
And if we believed in the bible, spirits of our love ones won't initiate to communicate us.

@rcruman: there are so many recorded evidences of spirit manifestations that even the scientific community has difficulty ignoring. a wide reader would know. i believe there's already a branch of psychology called parapsychology.

I mean if this is accurate there will be no more "perfect crime" we will just communicate the spirit then "Presto" its solved.

I'm sticking to the topic and the topic didn't restrict to use the bible.
and I'm not imposing to people that they should believed on the bible, it is still their choice to accept or reject it. even God itself didn't force everybody to follow Him, He gave free will.
