mahilig jud ning mga pinoy og loveteams eversince -- from guy & pip , vilma & edgar, sharon & gabby, manilyn & janno, to kim & gerald... i don't know but i think pinoys are just romantic in nature... and the producers know it that's why each year, they make movies,teleseryes,sitcoms, etc featuring these loveteams to cash in on the popularity of these celebs... and what i find even funnier is that even if these stars have mediocre voices, they always make it a point to release a duet song...

in hollywood, there were also popular tandems way back in the 50s and 60s --- one of the most popular of course are fred astaire & ginger rogers, katharine hepburn & spencer tracy, lucille ball and desi arnaz, liz taylor & richard burton but as decades pass by, i've noticed that although there are still occasional screen couples like meg ryan & tom hanks and julia roberts & richard gere, hollywood actors and actresses opt not to be packaged in this so-called loveteams maybe because they think that this could hinder them from being versatile .. aside from that, most american viewers find this stuff somewhat cheesy, corny, and old-fashioned esp the younger generations...
