they say the last straw was when they had this school project that required her to pay P100.00. in the barangay where she lived, majority of the students were poor beyond poor meaning a hundred pesos is already a huge amount that any family there would have to come up with.
i wonder if her teacher's getting a good night's rest this week.
When the hope-of-our-nation lose Hope and commits suicide--- who do you blame?
It's scary and perhaps revolting, but this is indeed the true face of the economy of the Philippines. Some are soo poor even the children are comtemplating and committing suicide.
What we can do to help is organize groups to help poor people on a long term basis.

luoy dyud kaayo uy.
dili sad unta manganak ug daghan ang mga family nga nag lisud.
This government has no agenda for the poor.Palpak nga pabahay, land reforms, trabaho. If you have seen the documentary Agenda of GMA makaingon gyud ka nga grabe na gyud diay kalala sa sitwasyon sa Pinas.
I was saddened by the news. When I heard about it, I was disappointed that no one ever talked to her about their situation. It could be discussed to her by her parents. Her hopelessness should have been prevented if only someone talked to her. But to my dismay, her parents could only utter I didn't expect her to do that is an understatement.
To find fault to the government is really a stretch. It's a wake up call for all of us, to be more responsible parents.
what can parents do if they themselves are hopeless? perhaps they just have a higher threshold for frustration and suffering, but they might just be as dead as those who are gone...they're dead inside. hopeless. just going through the motions. isang kahig isang tuka.
i'm depressed already thinking about this.
I totally agree with you. The poor child is the 6th among 7 siblings. She had an older brother and sisters, the eldest even older than I am. Nobody tried to console her in her grief, in her frustration nobody tried to keep her spirits up.Originally Posted by baron

Too young to see such reality. Btaw, paet jud ning pilipinas kay maski niubos ang value sa dollar nitaas ghapon ang palaliton. Unsa man sad ning sistemaha sa atong government oi! Mas mupabor man cla sa mga businessman kaysa sa masa. The president should find ways to solve the case of poverty in our country. Daghan tinoud ug trabaho pero gamay pud au ang sweldo.
death is sometimes a better choice than poverty to some. i remember some years ago a father also poisoned to death his family then killed himself upon seeing them with nothing to eat most of the time.
asa naman ni ang konsensya sa goberno oi?
