I-boot lang nimo ang imong Linux CD (or any Linux Live-CD). Once naa na ka sa terminal (console) find the hard-disk partition na nabutang imong GRUB. Once nakit-an na nimo, adto lang sa /boot/grub and edit menu.lst.

I assume nga Windows XP ray nakainstall nga OS sa imong pc. In which case duha pwede nimong himoon.

1. Use the XP installer, boot into repair mode and when you have the command line type fix mbr (di ko sure sa syntax, type lang ug help aron makit-an nimo ang saktong syntax). With this method, you get rid of GRUB and use NTLDR-ang bootloader sa Windows XP.

2. If you want to keep using the GRUB, download Linux Puppy iso. Sa Utilities, pangitaa ang Install GRUB. Automatically it will fix and install a new GRUB for you. Linux Puppy iso is 90MB so if you dont have broadband, download Super Grub Disk instead. it is a 3.8MB download, burn the iso image to a CD and use this as boot disk. With this disk you can install a new GRUB-mao nay iyang purpose.

You can also use Linux Puppy as your alternative OS. Nindot ni siya pang browse sa internet kay paspas kaayo unya secure and safe pa jud ka sa malware kay di man niya gamiton or imount imong hard drive.

Do you want to keep Grub as your bootloader? if not delete lang na then gamit atong fixmbr. Ang fixmbr murag naa ni sa windows recovery console (I'm not sure)

Correction lang sa akong previous nga post. If u use Linux Puppy, ang pang -ayo sa GRUB naa sa SYSTEM>GRUB Bootloader Config.

nah naka sugod nako download UBUNTO ron 690mb raba ni....

@circles122345: Naka-suway man gud ko aning problem katong gi-format nako ang ubuntu sa akong harddrive . Ang akong gibuhat gi insert nako sa XP CD then adto ko sa windows Recoevry Console then type Fixmbr. Delete dayon nya ang GRUB then gi-ilisdan og NTDLR as your new bootloader.
