The music scene is okay ra baya gyud. Sa akong part, mamili ko ug banda para sa Midweek Sessions. Here are the things I look for a band:

1) The band should have at least 6 original songs and could play them live
2) The band should have online presence bisan MySpace or other social networking sites lang will do
3) The band should be active... meaning naa silay songs nga na record na and uploaded sa internet para madunggan sa tanan
4) It's an advantage gyud kung nanay album ang banda but it's not necessary... one or two songs uploaded for listening will do
5) I also get recommendations from friends (for bands that I haven't heard of but has great potential and stage presence)
6) Bands should be smart and confident enough to handle an interview

...these are just a few of the things I think bands should consider kung ganahan 'ka mo-asenso ang atong local music scene. Mura ra sad na bai ug company ba nga ikaw ang manager kintahay unya you want to hire the right people for the job. Kung di maayo imong gi-hire, the company will eventually suffer. As an organizer sa Midweek, I hope to chose the better bands unta pero unsaon nga gamay ra gyud ang akong makit-an. I hope sa ingon ani nga standards, it will pay off.
