predictive text doesnt work well for 90% to 99% of filipino cellphone users...kung mag taglish/bisaya ka its useless...kung anad ka or ganahan ka shortcut text useless ang predictive text.

    n95 real keys works.

Ang concern gyud sa N95 is ang presyo - is it really worth the $700+ pricetag? First off - it looks cheap and flimsy. It is made out of plastic. Such things are not acceptable ug mao na ang presyo. Compare that to the iPhone. The iPhone is made out of metal ang glass.
for those who can afford it...yes its worth it..
for whatever reason they may have...to show off...for business...for personal...whatever...its worth it since no other phone can still match it feature per feature (best pound-pound phone today)
    cheap? i dont think so...
flimsy? no way...mine has met the ground (semento ug spalto) personally and intimately many times...only resulting in minor dents and scratches but phone is perfectly working...alive and kicking butt.

Ug i compare nimo ang video - mas dako ang screen size sa iPhone then it is made out of glass.
true, but can iphone show the video on a large screen tv or projector like the n95? nope!
and taking video on the n95 is just super sweet...playing those home movies at your grandma's bday party at her sala with the big screen, can you imagine the reaction of her face seeing her apo on her TV singing/dancing/playing...grandma would even take a second look of that video placed on the psp. but wouldnt stop smiling and laughing and enjoying the playback on her TV. impromptu from a phone. btw, cable is included in the package for FREE!

Ang camera layo ra hinuon kaayo ang iphone. 5 megapixels compared to CRAP megapixels. The iPhone's camera is pure crap ... pero sa tinuod lang gyud, did you buy the phone for its camera? for 700$, nakapalit naka ug NIKON DSLR ug Lens... naa pa kay sukli.
i didnt buy the n95 for its camera...and i do bring a 12.8mp full frame DSLR and a 7.1mp ixus ultra compact everyday. but the video capture on the n95 is just sweeter to use than that offered in the latest ixus im using. so its still fantastic to have! i dont have plans to buy a video camera...nor bring one along...ever!

Kanang sliding feature sa N95, palpak mana nga design. Hasol mag slide slide.. unlike the iPhone, mo fade ang tukar ug naay manawag or mo text, mo balik ang tukar ug mahuman na ang tawag - OR - pisliton lang nimo ang mouthpiece sa headset para mo stop or skip sa music.
masnindot gyud ang n95...why can't you press the headset on the n95 to do the same sa iphone? sa n95 you get more control on its headset remote thats included in the package for FREE.
not to mention option to use bluetooth headset which the iphone cant use...

Isud gyud ug bag or sa bulsa.
n95 is super compact for all its features. its thiner than a pack of gum!
its made of plastic to further lower its weight...a big advantage!
ive been using beltclips for many many years and never lost a phone that way...never heard anyone lost thiers that way to...NEVER...
ive lost phones i left in my bag dito sa ayala but thats it. i sell hundreds of belt clip holsters every month. i dont know why you say that bout cebu?!
BTW, leather case is included in my personal n95 package for FREE...but i dont use it coz i got a horizontal type leather holster with belt clip.

unsa gamit sa GPS diri cebu...daghan...navigation...maps...pinpoint where you are...here and anywere in the world.. yes comicgeek's and those who got from me has cebu maps on their phone.
    and its FREE!

naa man sad fully featured wifi, usb, bluetooth, ir,memory card, etc. ang n95 for connectivity gawas sa 3G and edge.
capabilitiy and flexibility is the name of the game here
sa iphone crippled wifi, bluetooth, usb...no ir or memory card...needs itunes to transfer media...sounds more like shackles to me...tsk tsk.

para sad nako inferior gyud ang iphone compared to n95. di gyud justifiable to call the iphone the jesus phone...the ultimate phone...the phone of all phones...its a brick toy to me na pwedi ipanghapak sa nawng saimong mga kontra...come to think of it woulnt a tazer or lowtech baseball bat work better?

id go for n95...i have an iphone as soon as it came out but to my disappointment the performance of it sucks.. so i returned it and just waited for the ipod touch to come out. im soo satisfied with the ipod touch compare to the iphone since i need somethin to replace my sidekick. lol

if you go for features, go for N95. N95 can play music files much like iphone, n95 can also play videos, only mas wider lang ang screen sa iphone. N95 has stereo fm while iphone doesn't. Also N95 supports 3G/video call while iphone doesn't. also N95 has built in GPRS although wala ko nakit-an gamit ani niya sa pinas but nonetheless it's an advanced technology not native sa iphone but naa sa N95. also sa mga N series/series 60 fones sa nokia ky daghan kaayo applications na availbale para productivity/enhancements.. while sa iphone ky u can't configure the multimedia files aside from sa itunes rjud.. u can't even personalize ur own ringtone.. and as i know of.. dili pa cya GSM capable.. u have to hack it para ma gamit nimo sa pinas which would void it's warranty.. too bad..

if ever i change my mind and go for iphone, maybe not this early pa. dili pa stable ang mga crack/hack niya para mo function sa atoa.

i think you mean GPS...coz both have GPRS.
GPS is 100% usable here in the philippines...works with naviagation and maps built into the phone...locator/position...speed...avg. speed...max speed...odometer/distance traveled...directions...altitude...time of travel...just to name a few...
detailed map for manila and cebu are available and they are free when you buy n95, comes with voice navigation for turn by turn assistance. you can search destination and stuff...very useful...

it is GSM capable...its just locked to one network...

Yes, cheap - plastic materials are there to cut cost - for a phone with that pricetag, at least they could've used tempered glass.

Flimsy IMO ... again, plastic materials. Is it more durable than the iphone?

Why use your phone as a DVD player? Doesn't that sound stupid that you take the data from your pc to your phone just to show it on TV? Why not use your PC right of the bat? via HDMI - instead of downloading the data from your PC to your phone? Or just burn the data straight to DVD and use the DVD player... makes more sense, right? .. and with the phone's battery life - do you need to have the thing plugged to its charger to use it as a video source? Too involved for my taste.

There's this thing called a camcorder which does the job better... and with HD quality, grandma can see her wrinkles on TV. Again, why use the phone when you can use something else that serves the purpose better. By the way - with the N95's battery life, how many minutes of video can the phone record? Wouldn't it suck if the phone runs out of juice at the middle of Grandma's song?

Why not have a complete gear? naa nakay point and shoot and a DSLR which you bring EVERYDAY plus imong N95 pa gyud, hey - why stop there? Grab a camcorder, clearly you can afford one. Why bother using a sluggish gadget as a camcorder when a stand-alone camcorder is available with HD quality?

I agree that the bluetooth capability is something the iPhone needs to work on - bluetooth can work on the iPhone pero only for calls, I have no idea kung a bluetooth stereo headphones mo work ba sa iphone. By the way, wala ko kabalo ani pero does the headset sa N95 magamit sab ug calls?

Super compact? I wouldn't say that ... thinner than a pack of gum? Bulky compared to the phones I had. You wonder why I say daghan kawatan ug cellphone sa Cebu... are you serious? Ako danghag man gyud ko pagka taw pero I've never lost a cellphone.. not once. And I've had cellphones since 1994. Diha, 1 out of 5 cellphone users nakawatan or gi tulis tungod sa telepono.

Do you really need a GPS in Cebu? Seriously... pila na ka tuig diha - do you still need it? I was in Tuscon, Arizona during the weekend for the USTA Tennis Nationals and yes, I needed GPS to find the Villa we rented, the tennis courts, the national parks, indian reservations, and Nogales (Mexico) which was 2 hrs away ... pero ug diha lang sa Cebu, masaag pa kaha ka? or Arte arte lang gyud.

Shackles? depends on your point of view - kay tungod sa itunes, diha sila mag sige'g update and diha sab sila maka pugong sa mga cracks and hacks. Pero I think it's a great feature kay fully upgradeable - and because of the iPhones OS, I know Apple can remedy the iPhone's shortcomings.

That's your opinion.. I have mine. WIRED magazine actually called the iPhone "the Phone of all Phones" sa ilang review.. pero what do they know. I bet you know more than these guys.... since they gave the N95 a bad review. Slow/Sluggish kuno.. not worth the pricetag... lags a lot.. and drains the battery bisag ga standby. By the way, aside from your DSLR camera, the N95, and your point and shoot camera, do you also bring a baseball bat and a taser as well?

I always check my emails from time to time because of my business nature (multimedia with foreign clients), I have my own email server so pop3 and smtp is a requirement. I often go out at night to play with my PSP buddies or visit my parents and it is not always comfy to bring my laptop. And with the N95's cam I can take random pics that I can upload directly to my vox blog or flickr account (i do use these services and it's really nice). I sometimes browse the net too using my phone although any screen below 1240x1028 res is not a good browsing experience for me. Browsing my friendster profile using my phone is nice to. I can also view concept designs from clients using the N95 browser - not a good preview but at least i get an idea before coming home. I also listen to music using my N95 with a SE bluetooth stereo headset. this is when me and my PSP buddies go malling. it helps since I am still reachable and I dont have to take out my phone if I want to receive or make a call. I also always call and sms less. my free sms is not consumed. With all the stuff I do with my phone my monthly bill averages from 3-6k per month. I'm trying to cut back though cause usik kaau. But what I really love about the N95 is the camera and the bluetooth stereo. Plus coming from a long line of SE P series phones and previous S60 devices I can say the N95 is the best mobile experience for me. Next year though I will get an iPhone. I just wish that the jack is standard now and that it supports bluetooth stereo. It's an ipod for crying out loud where is the 3.5mm jack.
I do pop3, smtp, imap emails on my iphone - actually it's way better kay mas paspas ang OS - pabor lang gyud ang N95 tungod sa 3G, unless mo connect ka through wifi sa iPhone then the 3G don't mean anything. When it comes to browsers - no comparison.. iPhone's OSX works way better - faster .. compared to the sluggish (this word was often used when reading reviews about the N95) N95.
The iPhone does have a 3.5mm jack .. but it's a different 3.5mm jack because of the voice input feature on the headphone. If you take a closer look at the jack - its 3.5mm thick but it's got 3 sections instead of 2 (stereo 3.5mm headphone).

--- By the way, I didn't know that PSP is that big sa Cebu ... it never picked up diri - I don't even know asa akong PSP since my kids prefers their Gamboy Advance and DS (Pokemon and Yugi-Oh games).
