NEC was my first company after i graduated from college. Sa ako ma remember kay ni take mi ug exam and then interview with managers and then final interview with japanese managers. Nadawat ko sa NEC even before graduation nako which is a month after.

I don't know if pareha pa ba ang system nila before but when I started kay we undergo 3 months training + nihonggo classes. Mura ra pud mi ug nag class sa college kay naay discussion, exams, project. Ang result ani kay mao ni basihan sa mga project managers kung asa ka ibutang na project. If medyo ubos ka ug rating kay adto ka ibutang sa mga testers. Not that its bad but in fact mas hayahay gani ang mga testers kay sila ang pinaka taas ug Business trip rate sa japan. Each batch will be divided into two groups which are C++ and java. I train pud ka ug Linux and we even did python before.

Nice ang NEC as training ground. We even call it NEC University and after resign kay its like ni graduate pud ka didto It is a stable company but dunno if ni cope up ba sila sa current salary rate.

Really don't know about the others - I can only tell that I have learned everything I know from the books I had in my time, free time of all of that in reality so how much does it matters to the person who wants to visit some of that courses anyway? Maybe doesn't but you need to reapply that knowledge each time.
