*sigh* Urasawa-san's genius is at its peak level here!! Billy Bat, Monster and Pluto were already at
masterclass level of writing and execution. 20th Century Boys, however, is on a planet of its own.
And iirc, prior to these 4 orignals, there's only 5 works that had given me post-manga depression
of this magnitude. Maybe because I grew up in a time where tech has not ruled over humanity.
Hate to sound edgy but coursing through this very fleshed out manga, made me wish for a time
machine to be created & experience childhood again for a few minutes, before every millenial
will have passed away some 30 years from now.

Still too early to judge the series but afaic it's fine as it is. If this
is going to bring us high levels of macabre in terms of cruelty
violence & gore in the latter part of the story, this might kill it.

That said, I dislike how it's set up with highschoolers as MCs.

Alas, nahuman na gyud ko ni. What a ride! World building is somewhat simlar to Log Horizon. Action's very much
Oda/Togashi inspired because it doesn't drag the readers with typical shounen drama plus ridiculous flashbacks
doing its own flashback. MC want's power up, MC gotta train hard. No Naruto bullshit were feelings alone could
boost capacity instantaneously & bend the laws of physics (like science is applicable to fiction but still).

I gave it an 8/10 coz it didn't make a strong statement of who Rikuo's heart belongs to even though it was pretty
obvious with the character popularity polls in its cover pages for almost half the 25 published volumes. However,
the omake specials released several weeks after the finished serial confirmed my belief that Tsurara was best girl
& the Yuki-Onna's 400 year-long dream realized, thus, made me change my mind.. now it's 9/10. ♥

Gaya nako nakabasa ani oi. Adaptation was 70% of the manga though but
mas nindot gihapon ni specially this version of Esdeath. Subtle differences 'til
this chapter. From here onwards, everything is literally better.

A fanfic so good it looks so real.. no, even better than the OG manga.
Whatever gender 鈴木ひのみ has, I trust my gut that mangaka-san is a
dude, therefore I'm gona use the male pronoun—he is the best doujin
artist in so far as I'm concerned.

This shit is beyond art man. If it were music this right here is definitely the Beethoven Symphony
No. 9 of all doujins. Such level of intricacy in this 47-page one shot is very rare.
