On Tithes and Offerings...

im just confuse some church are asking both tithes n offerings, tithes kay sa old testament pa man na sya n offerings is in the new testament-u give depends on ur "kusang loob" according to them.

for those asking for tithes and plus offerings pa jud, is it stil correct?

tithes is 10% of your income, its a sure money if we apply it now.
But tithes was given to Israelites and to collect it is the tribe of LEVI.
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
Hebrews 7:5-6

and the Law in Christian time/era is:
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7.

then let me give you a point to ask some pastors who are preaching tithes.
Tell them or ask them if I have 10000 pesos then I will 500 am I robbing GOd? then they will answer yes you're robbing God and it should be 1000 pesos. Then ask again, if I have 10000 pesos and I will give 3000 or more am I robbing God?
Tell me what would be there answer.

Kanus-a gud intawn nagkinahanglan og kwarta ang Ginoo?
Ang mga Pastors ra ang nagkinahanglan og kwarta.
Dili sad sila maghuwat kung pilay ug unsay ihatag sa Ginoo.
Mao nga irason nila ang ilang pagpangolekta og kwarta nga "para sa Ginoo".

Ang Ginoo pa unta ang mohatag sa tawo kung angay kining hatagan.

Ang mga Pastor maoy nagkinahanglan og kwarta para ibayad sa TV networks
para mosikat sila kaysa ubang simbahan.
Para modaghan ang ilang myembro,
para modaghan ang mohatag og kwarta "Para sa Ginoo."

Kung buhi pa si Kristo Jesus karon, wala siya sa TV.
Simple ug walay panudlay.
Tua siya nagsangyaw sa pulong sa Ginoo sa mga kabarangayan ug kabukiran.
Naglakaw unta siya karon nga nagtiniil.

ako, ived tried doing busness with a pastor, owner syag weilding company, wat im trying to say kanang magsubcon ug work regarding on like himog gate, window, anything basta puthaw. as a pastor wla kaau nko gbantayan n ingon pud sla iya grupo nanginahanlan ug hinabang , maski naa sa cordova, niagto pud ko pra lng makatabang , bayad ra sad ko, nimahal pa pro ok ra kay hinabang lagi.. lahi man ang grade sa puthaw g.gamit, meaning lahi ang specs na iya gdeliver, mas cheap.. naningil ko, modeny man jud ,g.pasa2x pa jud ko, by the time ako syang g ingan na ako ireport sa brgy captain iyang "evil acts" anha ra sad nibayad .. pangcollect nako, nag pray2x pa sa altar , gshort pa jud sa kagwang , katawa nalng ko, pro ako ghapn gdemand ang short payment.

maybe there r some bad pastor just like a priest..

i think filipinos r willing to pay just to have a "brotherhood or sisterhood" feeling, more on belongingness issue, naa slay brod sa hawaii, usa, netherlands etc, as wat the head minister says.. expecting that tabangan sla in return its more a social issues, palakasay ba.. i dont hav this mentality
