    But the receptionists at the hotel we stayed in never offered to photocopy our passports. They said our passportd will be returned upon check-out. Good thing we were able to persuade them to keep our IDs instead.

    So far on my experience pagdidto ko Jan-March 2018,. genapicture-ran ra man nila akoang passport,. dili man nila e-hold,.
    traveled from north down south of vietnam,.and stayed in different hostel,. (mga 15-20 ka hostel siguro)
    bought a motorcycle in Hanoi and sold it in danang..

    Been so many countries/hotels/resorts/hostels/arbnb never had that experience. I will never surrender my passport bc that is my life ID if something happens to me...except if i violated their laws.

    been in Vietnam twice, wala pa pud ko kasulay nga gkuha akong passport. although I recommend airbnb did2, barato pero nindot ilang mga units. hehe
