Hahaha, true, true. Oh, well, advances in technology always kill some jobs and create others as well. Next thing you know, humans ain't necessary anymore (gulp). Scribes must have been really pissed off when the printing press was invented.

In my arrogant opinion, "Tapol" is a decision, not a disease, hehehe.

Oy, here's a cornier title: "Sumpaylanon", from the word "sugilanon".

Bitaw, make it a comic strip with (at most) three panels to make the commitment less unattainable (snicker). This could be fun, y'know (and a great excuse for me to practice emulating Jae Lee's art in "Dark Tower" and the dodge-and-burn technique of transforming a pencilled drawing into an inked one digitally).

If you're interested with the inked or olored pages of Jae Lee's "The Dark Tower" comic-book series, find it through Google. If you're interested only in the pencilled pages, here's the link to a webpage from one website that has these:

All scanned images in the website above are large enough to study. There are illustrations in there from other popular artists as well.

As for the tutorial, yeah, I copied four video tutorials on digital inking by Brian Haberlin (I think) from a friend's CD into my PC. cmontoya probably has copies of Haberlin's video tutorials or knows how to get it. Show up on Sunday and make a request for these to him (he is who I consider the "Mr. Resources" of the group, hehehe).

Last year's convention sales weren't that good for SLICK!. However, we were approached by one of the convention's sponsors who eventually and generously agreed to sell copies of our comic-book at his place and who even offered us financial assistance in exchange for advertising his business at the back covers of our books. Too bad the members were, by that time, already hanging up their gloves.

Come to think of it, the amount could have paid for, say, photocopying 125 copies of a S.I.C. issue at two noypi pesos per sheet, front and back.

125 copies ain't that bad to start makin' some noise...locally.
