my experience in buying a used car (3rd owner ko ani nya did2 sa Taiwan) is good ra man. wla ra mag hassle nko ang sakyanan even, dako kaayo ang odo reading niya. normal ra ni basta mag inter-city ang mga owners. Kun sa Cebu na odo reading, maka lisang na... hehehehe...

the owners maintained the car religiously. naa man siya handbook na naka record did2 tanan maintenance sa sakyanan since pag purchase last 2004.

after pag palit nko, nag pa ilis ko on the following: disc brake rotors (all disc brake w/ ABS ni siya), disc brake pads (front and rear), mags (front and rear) and tires (front and rear) para kampante ko mag dagan sa speed way...

nag pa change oil pud ko sa engine ug transmission, change the coolant, change all air and oil filters. para ni dali ra pag monitor nko once need na siya'g maintenance and servicing...

so far, wala ko'y problema sa sakyanan. smooth kaayo modagan, nice ang handling, wala'y rattling sound. tight pa kaayo... i can compare it sa akaong Civic diri's Cebu na "almost" at par ra sila pero, mas inclined ko's handling sa Civic gyud... I'll pick this Civic of mine any time of the day compared to my Tierra... hehehe...

go for carb engines sir barato ra ang maintenance for beginners. I owned 93nissan sunny b13 1.3 , so far ok man cya. Ayaw lng jd kalimot ug change oil, check tubig sa radiator etc.. Now im planning to change my engine to 2.0 pra resing2

90's cars? for me one of the best era sa auto ang 90's nindut og mga model ni gawas ana na era, example is the mitsubishi galant, eclipse, spacewagon, toyota small body, big body,hilux, nissan sentra, vanette, honda civic hatchback, mazda 323, etc. kung ganahan jud ka mopalit og used car, try to check it's condition, engine niya wala bay leaking, body di ba gabok, unya try to test drive jud. If you know the basics sa maintenance and a little do it yourself, ok kaayo. Research sa imo gusto na car before ka mopalit, and pakuyog og mechanic if possible. Good luck TS! enjoy your new ride!

ok paman ang 90's car, based on my own experience on my ae92. ang kontra nimo ani kay rust, fuel economy and of course higher maintenance.
Pilia ang low displacement nga engine TS like 1.3 for the smallbody nga rolla. inig palit nimo mas maayo ma dala nimo ug gas station para ma lifter, so you can see the condition of your underchassis. e check for rust gyud including opening the trunk and checking what's behind the matting. take your time in checking the car before buying it. ayawg kaikog sa seller.
if wala kay kaila nga sweto ug awto naay mga videos sa youtube nga makatabang nimo, check Chrisfix sa youtube, naa siyay guide didto in buying used cars, very detailed kaayo.
last tip is, if mo test drive ka, isaka didto padung taas cebu plaza para makita ang katag, kung baga stress test ba, mailhan na nimo kung naa bay power ang engine, di ba mag-aso aso ug dili mo overheat. Good luck !!

If old na ang car, I suggest, mangamigo ka ug kasaligan nga mekaniko. Kanang mekaniko nga you can trust with your life... and your wallet.

Old cars, like old people, frail na ang health ana. Maayo lang ang old people kay inig ka senior citizen, naa nay 20% discount, sa fastfood ug sa pharmacy... ang old cars... pagkalisora sa parts ana.
