When I was in my college years, I would say yes in a heartbeat
but at this day and age, it's not that easy because you might
fall for the facade and not what's within.

i would say no. Falling in-love has with someone has to be personal. With someone you never met, probably just fb, skype or whatever social media platform it may be, is never calling falling in-love. It can be called infatuation due to what you see.It can be that you like the attention of the other guy/girl he/she's giving you. But you can never fall in-love with someone whom you never met. But i wouldn't single it out or take it to in a general point-of-view, coz back in the days when "penpal" was the thing, people do fall in love, with letters, words and pictures sent thru snail mail. In fact, my aunt is a proof that worked for them. But as of these days? social media? you can be anybody you wanna be.
