Alaska team owner questioned the PBA's new rules. Uytengsu's pointed out that the games are getting to physical because of the new adopted rules. League OIC Sonny Barrios however replied that the new rules are meant to provide more excitement and not cause more injuries to players.
unsa man ni si Uytengsu oi, cry bay...grrr...
mao lagi!
Seriously, I think Uytengsu complained because there are a lot of flagrant fouls called already. He's got good grounds too, but as early as now, he should have let the league, players and the refs get used to the system first. The rules are still so new and it's still barely 2 weeks old. Reklamo man dayun. Tsk, tsk.
Alaska Whiners.![]()
2losess man gud mao reklamo.. pero kong 2wins palang na.. asa reklamo..
asta yeng guaio gani reklamo sad to, pagkapildi sa ginkings..

Magnolia vs Purefoods. Only one team will remain on top tonight.
Coca-Cola vs Alaska. It's either Coca-Cola gets it's first loss or Alaska for it's first win.
Tonight's game will be featuring all the three candidates for the POW award. Willie Miller of Alaska, Danny Seigle of Magnolia, and POW winner James Yap of Purefoods.
The new rules just didn't make the games a lot more exciting, it also made the games a lot shorter. For the first time in PBA history, one game didn't reach 2 or more hours to finish. The Red Bull-Welcoat match only took an hour and 50 minutes to finish, way below the usual average of more than 2 hours. One of the reasons is that there were lesser fouls called in the game. The Red Bull-Welcoat match only had a total of 39 fouls called, the fewest called for this conference. So far, the average number of fouls called per game this conference is 50.6 compared to 52.6 last season.
As for the record, the Red Bull-Welcoat match bested the record set by the Purefoods-Talk 'N Text match in Dumaguete which lasted for only an hour and 51 minutes.
Records set after the new rules were implemented:
Most points scored by a team for an opening game for the season: Magnolia 121, Air21 112 (breaking the previous record of Presto's 120-118 win over Swift in 1992)
Shortest time to finish a game: Red Bull 85, Welcoat 75 (1 hour, 50 mintues); Purefoods 112, Talk 'N Text 97 (1 hour, 51 minutes)
i think this new rule murag pabor ni sa mga 3 pointer ug mga dagko nga tua sa ilawm...ang mga slasher type nga players maoy louy kay dili na kaau ka penetrate sa shaded lanes...thats why ang naka benefit ani nga bag-ong rules karon mao si ritualo, dondon to name a few nga mga 3 pt. king....pero sila si caguioa ug uban pang mga slasher dha nga player murag mag lisod gyud....
which could be a good thing kay they either learn to shoot better, move without the ball and have quicker reactionsOriginally Posted by clarkhkent
may ra pud oi para di na na maka score si caguioa...i just don't like him...sorry to his fans...*peace
