update:

So just as i thought, the problem was with my locally bought DP cable.
Currently at 144hz with no issues at all and the video is much much better than with the previous DP cable.

some things to consider
1. first 2 DP cable was 2m in length. although same thickness with the newer DP cable.
2. New DP cable is 1.5m in length. but im not sure if the length matters.
3. same price both DP. well the newer DP cable was less than 100 pesos more. with that said i suggest to go with the branded cables right away.

recommendation:
Avoid the DP cable sold a NUTECH if you want to go higher than 100hz for your gaming monitor.

conclusion:
Good cables does matter alot!

Nice boss. I'm sure mo matter jud na tanan kay naa man jud na specification ang mga cables. Like the HDMI cable that came with our PS4, mag sige siya lose signal if I use it with my pc cause I think taas ra siya but no problem if sa PS4 ra siya gamiton.

wala na bro. i tried checking wala na for now. maybe after a week mu balik, im not so sure lang.
i wouldnt recommend other brands kay wala pud ko naka testing.

Overkill ang DP for 1080p@144hz monitor. Siguro.a lang na DVI-D....dili pwede ang DVI-I sa 144hz@1080p....tan.awa pud imo VC dunay DVI-D output.

Overkill? why? DP is much small and easier to use so why not go for it?
