I think I already answered this one. It tells of one cohesive redemptive story despite the fact that it was written by different authors spanning thousands of years. They come from different background, fishermen, nobleman, kings among others.

in terms of authors and time period, the quran is better than the bible, since it was done a merely 40 years with only one author, and it didn't have any versions, just one.

In what sense is it better? Because to me that tells of unreliability. The Quran has only one author, the bible has 40 authors living in different times yet they tell of the same redemptive story. That's corroboration. The Quran doesn't have that. Regarding versions, those are translations. They don't affect the whole story and we can verify the reliability of the translation by looking at the manuscripts.

BUT. having said that ... both the bible and the quran are clearly just made by man. your god is just made by man. look, if there is truly a god and if he really wanted to give his divine teachings to man, then he would have just PLOP ( SNAPS MY FINGERS ) and instantly gave all the knowledge to whoever prophet he chose. but instead, here we are both the bible and quran being written for long time spans

It's an evidence of divine inspiration instead of a problem. Like I said, corroboration. Had God did it your way it would be very difficult to defend the bible's reliability. The case is much stronger if we have different people telling a cohesive story than when you have only one person narrating what happened.
