i also have a 1866mhz ram.... but akong maximum XMP speed running karon is kutub ra 1600Mhz @cl9.

i think its ok ra man bro since most likely imu processor kutub ra sa 1600mhz iya speed

i wouldnt consider it a bottleneck since rams right now are in a give and take scenario between their frequency speed and latency

    My specs:

processor : intel i5-3550 (this proc is non K so kutub ra ni 1600Mhz para sa ram)
    Mobo: MSI B75MA-E33
    Ram: Gskill Ripjaws X 1866Mhz cl9 16GB (Running at 1600Mhz cl9)
GPU: secret.... basin maka ingun mu nag hambog ko dire

ang importante lang gyud sir is maka XMP ka.

    1. In most cases, the reason why they did not place it (81) there is because wala nila gi try if compatible.
    2. Normally, your ram would downgrade to your mobo's maximum frequency.

by default, what you see on BIOS is the supported frequency of your procie. anything higher than that is a supported < OC > frequency.

    i myself is using a ddr3 2400 vengeance pro on my i7 4790 that support 1333 - 1600 by default on Z97.

the good thing having a higher freq RAM is the headroom and a bit of jump.

even the AMD APU love higher freq RAMS
