the issue of Uber and grab is not security but rather regulation... they are not required to get a franchise to operate... for anyone who is not familliar about the transporation franchise.... its a permit or privilege given by the govt to the anyone who wishes to operate a public transporation... this people are liable under the law and anytime they can get their franchise suspended... and because of franchise they are regulated.... however for Uber and Grab they are not...

    another analogy of grab-uber issue...

Naninda kag isda sa mercado, nag bayad ka ug permit sa market authority, nagbayad kag business tax ug business permit... gi regulate ang imohang presyo sa DTI... while kining uber-grab is katong... naninda ug isda sa mercado nga wala nag bayad ug buhis, permit ug nag patuyang ra sila sa ilaha presyo.... kung ikaw nanindag isda nga nag-agi sa legal ug sakto nga paagi... ganahan kaha ka?

Considering of safety and insurance, I think tanan cars are required to have comprehensive insurance. (correct me if im wrong). Mas safety pa na sila kesa sa mga taxi (nga reklamador og pilian) og mga jeep nga barumbado. I dont think they think this through.
