you can search it online regarding sa information about ana nila,

but to put it into simple terms... kanang analog is conventional, radio is to analog, where cellphone is to digital...

ang digital radio mas secure ug encrypted but very expensive..

kanang trunking is like a facebook group chat, daghan mo naa didto ug mabasa nimo tanan message... pero ang dili ninyo member dili maka basa sa message ana ang trunked radio system... mostly ani nila kay digital... naay mga analog pero dugay rang na phaseout... ang gamit sa pnp kay motorola system, the best in the world...

ang cellphone is also a radio the only difference is requires infrastructure to transmit to other radio... and it is dependent on a network... where as ang 2 way radio is a combination of cellsite and cellphone... you can directly call the person without going into any network, some radios uses radio repeater works similar to the cellsite pero ang difference lang kay iyaha ra i repeat ang signal para sa uban nga sobra na kalayo

Nag think ko na mao dili to mu work ang Firechat. Wla ko ka test pero if using sya ug Wifi or Bluetooth, the message needs to access the WIFI or bluetooth para ma transmit ang message dba? So, if naay security, dli ka lusot ang signal, dba?

it uses mesh networking, its an old technology only recently utilized in mobile devices, firechat protocol is proprietary so no idea how it works, but according sa ako kaila nga cyber security researcher ma sniff nimo an data ug pwede ma attack via man-in-the-middle... hence most of the people i know nga concern sa privacy never uses firechat... it work kay mesh networking man na siya... sa IT mesh networking requires that each node to be able to connect to the closest node until it reach its target node... kung sa bisaya ba chismis...

haha sa amoa sa amateur radio, we can send/read/email messages via our radio, we can even connect to the internet... just dont expect 4g speed since we use it only on emergency communication....

Digital radio nowadays can send messasges just like cellphone without the need of a network... but this radio are quite expensive, there are earlier digital radio nga cheaper but it requires a license to operate one... mao na gipang gamit sa security ug responder sa govt.. so di na basta2x ila gamit nga radyo... minillion ang presyo ana...

there is also a new technology in amateur radio nga nag utilize aning mesh networking, like firechat but it uses amateur radio frequency... most phones are capable to connect to it.. hence it can functions to any situations... been planning to setup one this year... lisud or mahal gamay ang router nga gamiton... the purpose is if ever mo down ang cellsite i can still connect to the internet aslong as naa pay landline but once no down hasta landline i can still send messages to internet via internet gateway located all around the world via amateur radio...

ever since i became a ham, i rarely use my smartphone now.... i only keep it so other people can still reach me...

Ok, so if digitally trunked na sila, naa na silay ilang kaugalingon nga tower or nakisabay rana sila sa frequency sa major telcos?
