actually, sa competition, dili ta maka tawag ug copy2x na sila kay ang aim gyud kay "Power to Performance" ratio man. kaso, direct proportional ang performance sa power consumption kun atoang I-compare sa siblings of the same micro-architecture and lithography (node or technology). once I-plug-in na nato ang competition, mo samot pa ka pronounce ang difference nila.

competition is good man gyud. malipay ta kun "near performance" ang products nila (sa mga GPU players) para dili maka palabi'g pasaka'g presyo. malipay ta'ng mga consumers if there is a competition.

anyhow, OnT ta's discussion... about sa GTX 1070/ 1080 ang all GPUs don't need our room to be air-conditioned. their cooling system is designed to cool down the GPU chip and all other components around it that needs to be cooled. kita ra man ang nag labad2x sa atoang ulo. bisan w/in the temp envelop pa ang actual temp sa atoang GPU. dapat lang ta malisang kun mo abot nag 100 Deg (water's boiling point) ang GPU temp. ang mga previous techs from both AMD and Nvidia, mangbot baya sa ani na temp kay by design, those micro-architectures were not power efficient gyud. daghan ni hagtos ato nila. pwede ta maka research kun unsa to sila na micro-architectures from both Red and Green sides... dili ko mo sulti para thrilling... hehehehe...i'll leave it to the reader to do a research...

sa mga succeeding GPUs bugnaw na ni sila samot na, sa mga board partners, nice na ang mga cooling system... then samotan na nice ang cooling system sa chassis/ case... unya, running at stock speeds pa gyud so, no worries ra... even if we'll OC our CPU, mem modules and GPU(s), no need for an air-conditioned room gihapon ni... but, a good cooling system labi na sa CPU us required plus a good air circulation para sa chassis/ case...

just to disclose, my personal choice for a GPU cooling system is the stock fan sa Nvidia and AMD kay this cooling system will dump hot air directly outside (at the back) and not inside the chassis. gitawag ni nato'g "blower type" GPU cooling system. simple lang gyud kayo ni sila'g nawong. not flashy as the cooling system from the board partners na nice kaayo'g mga porma... nice pud ni sila mo cool down sa GPU chip. down side lang ani nila kay they dumped the hot air inside the chassis but hey, no worries ra gyud pud kun nice ang cooling system (intake and exhaust) sa chassis (case)...

one of my HD7770 sauna diay kay ning hagtos. akoang gi experiment-tohan na gi pa abot nako'g 100+ Deg C ang temp nya. akoang gi tang2x ang cooling system (AMD stock cooling design - blower type)... (again, its an experiment)... in less than 3 mins, namatay ang GPU. temp reached 110 Deg C. ni throttle down sya pag abot sa temp cut-off pero, wala man mo ubos ang temp kay wla nama'y cooling system. naguba or nangasunog ang protection ato sa GPU board and GPU chip itself then ultimately, namatay ang GPU chip.

I made that experiment kay ang partner nya, na hagtos man. akoa to'ng gi gamit ug mine ug crypto-coins sila after gi did-assemble nko ang mATX gaming rig (1st gamit nila kay sa mATX gaming rig man). ang isa kay gi ilisan nko'g 3rd party cooling system (2 fans w/ Cu plate cooling block) pero, mao man hinoon ang ning hagtos ug una. duda ko, wla to nko matarong ug taod ang 3rd party cooler bisan, naa'y thermal grease. maong, para maka sabot ko nganong namatay, akaong gi experiment-tohan ang pair nya...

kumbate pa kayo nang i7-2600 nimo bro. akoang main gaming rig kay i5-2550K OC'ed to 4.8 GHz with 2-way GTX 670 SLI... until now, wala pa ko maka kita'g justification na need ko na mo upgrade ug platform and CPU... akoang mga games kay ang mga heavy GFX ones. pero, 1080p ra ang akoang resolution @ 27"... mag upgrade ra ko once mo kamang na to na config sa akoang gaming rig. wla gyud ko gi lami-an sa mga PC components ron para mag upgrade kay tungod, very capable pa kayo ang gaming config...

balik ta's GPU nimo, naka palit naka or mo palitay pa? unsa pud ang imohang na eye-yan na brand pud?

planning ko mu palit early 2017 jan or feb so far MSI gaming x og Asus strix ako nakita gwapo reviews, evga problemado man(overheating).. barato unta zotac pero bug.at kaayo ang amp extreme mag sag na. Gwapo unta if mka kuha kog feedback sa temps ana nga brands nga taga cebu para ma pilian nako best cooler haha
