Peso may hit P51 vs dollar by end-2017


The Philippines' three biggest banks expect the peso to hover near P50 to the U.S. dollar by year-end.

BDO Unibank said the peso may close between P48-P48.50 versus the dollar by the end of 2016 while Metrobank said the peso may close at P48 to the dollar. Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) believes it will settle at P49 to the dollar by end-2016.

BPI said there's a big possibility that it could even hit P51 to the dollar by the end of 2017.

The peso has already weakened by over 3 percent against the U.S. dollar this year, making it one of the weakest currencies in Southeast Asia.

stock markets go up & down, depending on a lot of factors. there may be uptrends for several months like what happened until 2nd quarter of this year, and there will be downtrends for several months.

dodong FYI lang ha, downtrend ang stock market intawn everywhere else in the world karon. look it up. ayaw tawn kalimut there are other countries with stock markets that are much more bigger & far more mature than our country.

also, citing biased presstitutes as your sources like ABS, inquirer, rappler etc. only makes your argument weak kay tungod kana sila nothing short of mga ilad & bakak ilang ibalita para lang madaot si president Duterte.
