i am really hoping and praying for an immediate peace in mindanao. other than nueva ecija, we only have mindanao as food basket. if we are able to achieve peace and then use the land of mindanao as agriculture capital, it will really make the food cheap. we won't need to import lots of things especially in the agriculture sector.

we dont need bullets we need food. one way of getting it is through jobs. and jobs will be generated through investments but we dont have good infrastructure so then China comes into the picture.

    connect the dots lng gud
Too bad not a lot of people can connect the dots. LOL. All they see with PDUT's state visit to China is ihatag na lage daw niya ang West Philippine Sea sa mga insik.

Mindanao is really a big potential for agriculture and tourism. i think some parts of western Mindanao has white sand beaches better than Boracay its just that it was never discovered because of these ASG people.

and for these insurgency problem/terrorism in Mindanao i think the only solution to this is aside from religion side of the problem the other solution is fighting corruption in the area. Mao ning dugay kau mpildi ning mga Abu Sayaff ky naa man ni protection from the local govt and maybe some of the military. Gihimu nman lng ni nila nga negosyo.

no that is impossible. islam is already deeply rooted in mindanao way before Magellan. duterte has also mentioned that and acknowledges that. moro people are proud people. they need autonomy. federal type. in which they can create their own state laws and state constitution. thats what they want. i trust duterte in his drive for peace. i pray he achieves that. mindanao is a great place. i think the people their deserve peace.

Let's face it from the looks of it, digong is leaning towards China, and will most probably be at it until his term ends.

The question now is what is next?

China will probably be building infrastructures in the Philippines, may it be BOT or some other means PPP obviously for good will and to gain favors.

The US bases may probably be kicked out of the country, however, the ties as a long standing treaty will still be there.

The US may play it's tricks, you know as what they have done with other countries Libya, Syria, Iraq, and so many others. Theories are out there that they even took part in the ouster of Marcos. It's the same cycle all over again.

Two things in consideration or maybe three.

    1. Economics
    2. Military
    3. Common perception, culture, or pride you may call it.

Economically the Philippines as it stand might benefit a lot from China for it's planned infrastructure investments , Mindanao railway, other rails, lifting of ban for several other fruits (mostly Mindanao will gain from these initiatives)

When it comes to military, that is something that needs to be taken note of, as it's always publicized that we are receiving aid or have been buying weapons from the US.

Unfortunately or fortunately for us, we are not planning to go to war or even near prepared for it. Hence, military might, is the last thing on digongs or even a level-headed Filipino right now.

Lastly, the common US culture .. This is probably that will be very much impacted out of these commotion. This is something that only the media or schools, environment that will take huge amount of efforts in convincing that we take a second look at the Chinese culture and the possibility of even learning their language.

The question now is, are we really prepared to take a second look to a possible Chinese assimilation.
Chinese bosses, chinese pay, chinese ways.

The idea of "Make your enemies closer"

That is why there are fake islands in the WPS. The Phils is a known ally of the US. wonder why the Chinese didnt create such islands somewhere near Malaysia or Brunei perhaps? If war erupts here in the east we ould become the satellite base of US/NATO forces the east same with Senkaku island in Japan, the country being a close ally of the US as well.

like sa computer strategy games kinahanglan gyud ka mgbuhat ug smaller bases far from your mother base in order to protect it from incoming attacks

found this while surfing. i thought it's worth sharing. the author just about sums up the reasons why PD is hell-bent on making US pay. it goes back centuries.

Blowback for American sins in the Philippines

about russia, we are on the brink of world war 3. US has got its hands full. maybe (just maybe) this is what's in PD's mind (?).
