    Yes, I will ask them if they are connected to HMO companies as well. What I'm sure about is they have health insurance (of life insurance companies).

    No to educational plans. insurance companies are unstable and may go broke by the time you need to cash in in about 15-18 years.

    Mutual funds are better.

    Combine that with stable savings. Set aside a specific bank account for the kid "in trust" for him/ her. There are time deposits and government securities ( for 200k minimum deposit) that offer stable rates
