It's normal for people to not readily accept change. That is exactly the warning coming from one Davaoenian saying that at the first few years of Duterte as Mayor, not everyone readily supported him and accepted change. A lot of them voiced out their displeasure, concern, and doubts. But as time goes by, they had somehow gotten used to his tongue and his style but most importantly they have seen a whole lot of improvements in their city; safety and security wise, government employees (due to fear) have become more effective and efficient with their job, fast processing of transactions/requests, etc. that there's no way they are going back to the old rotten Davao that once was.
