I got the Avalon 2 last Feb 2014. So far, so good. I only had to replace the horn (sirbato) kai napagaw and the left hand brake lever kai naputol. Free labor at SM City California E-Bike store. Things to do before buying:
> take the bike for a test ride.
> check all electricals (horn, lights, brake lights, gauges, etc.)
> check charger if working
> check keys if it works with ignition, bike locks, etc.
> ask all questions that pop into your mind before paying.

I think the only things that need maintenance/replacement are the batteries, brake pads & tires but all are still working fine with my Avalon so I haven't replaced them yet. Good luck!
