Obvious naman kaau nga pro china siya. Layo ra ang 2 years, severed na tas US, and under na tas china.
japan depends on the US for its arms. but if digong will be serious with his plans to buy weapons from RUSSIA/CHina it may, in the long term, turn out better for the Philippines. Mas maayo varied ang supplier aron dunai competition sa contracts. Russian weapons nowadays are superior to their western counterparts and has been proven to work in realtime in the Syrian war. one of the weapons that our military leadership could seriously consider to fight insurgency is a trainer plane YAK130. It is cheaper and though a trainer, it can be armed on short notice to fight like a multi role combat plane. We need a good trainer plane that may provide the option as a good starting point to upgrade to world class planes for our air force in the future. Enough with the flying coffins.

i think germany ang pinaka nindot palitan og military arms and equipment.
nindot sad ang presyo kai germany man. their products of course work. but cost will decide in the long run. russian arms are proven to work but costs less. bisan byaan ilang mga eroplano sa tarmac, tubuan nalang ug sagbot pero inig paandar, dagan! menos pa sa maintenance. just like the AK47, simple, easy to maintain and costs less. and sure it works.

China excluded from AFP, PNP procurement deals | Headlines, News, The Philippine Star | philstar.comMANILA, Philippines – President Duterte is looking at government-to-government procurement as a means to modernize the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), but indicated any deals would not include China.
“We purchased from China before... The police got China M-16s,” he said, fearing the country’s defense program might be sabotaged.
“Sinadya man ‘yan ng mga tonto rin doon na ‘yung riple niyan pahiwi na. Tingnan mo ‘yung barrel…Eh sabotahe ‘yan eh (Those idiots purposely made the rifle crooked. Look at the barrel… That is sabotage),” he said, noting the apparent defects and low quality of firearms from China.
Duterte refuses to acquire substandard equipment for AFP | News Videos, Videos, Home | philstar.comMANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday stressed he would not follow the rules of the Commission on Audit (COA) in acquiring equipment for the Armed Forces of the Philippines as it would lead to procuring substandard gears.
The current COA rule requires the government to buy equipment from the lowest bidder.
"'Yang lowest bid kasi kung may bilhin ka ito lowest bid bibigay sayo barat. Kaya lahat ng equipments ninyo sabi ko, pinaalam ko na sa COA hindi ako susunod d'yan," Duterte told soldiers during his visit at the AFP medical center.
The president added that the lowest bidder policy is the source of corruption and hinted that the winners of public biddings usually acquire equipment made in China.
"'Wag muna ngayon kasi may alitan daw," Duterte said, referring to buying equipment from China.
