HDD Total stop/start count question in windows 10.

To those using Windows 10 OS, I'm wondering why my HDD taas man kaayo ug Total start/stop count based sa sentinel?

Original HDD in my laptop was Seagate then was replaced with seagate again then now WD Scorpio blue. The first orig HDD nako before gi ilisdan gi gamit nako around 5-7 months then gamay ra cya ug total/stop count is around 701 for 42 days gi replace cya kay nag ka problema ko ato. They replaced it with seagate again then ako na noticed taas kaayo ug Total stop count moabot ug 1-2k for 1 days of use lang. And the new WD replacement reaches 3,500k for less than 24 hrs of use grabe mas worst man hinoon. I don't know unsay naka cause ani.

Btw, ASUS laptop ni cya latest Skylake i5 with 1TB 2.5 HDD.

This is the 3rd HDD replacement same ra kaayo ang 2 HDD the 2nd and 3rd after formatted with Windows 10 from Microsoft. Unsa man jud naka cause ana? does manual partitioning and manual OS installation could affect the HDD? kay sa original ani na HDD gud was pre installed nani sa ASUS with Win10 OS.

Update: Just called WD, they said its normal ra daw kay everytime mo sleep/hibernate ang laptop it counts the stop/start.

I wonder why taas lang cya ug Total start/stop count than my orig first drive.

I don't have this bai, I have Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit. Maybe there is something wrong with your BIOS or Southbridge controller.

@Rainerius: Mao bah boss. Kay if same ra gihapon nahitabo sa (2) HDD's naa jud ni cguro sa system ang naka cause ani. But di diay ang HDD itself ang issue boss? Pero why man boss ang 1st orig HDD nako na seagate dili man taas ug Total start/stop count? mao maka hibong kaau. Karon gani it reaches 3k+ na iyang total start/stop count for less than 1 day pa lang.

I already updated the BIOS to latest one, same issue ra gihapon.

try to attach that drive to a desktop and see if doe make the same count per day
