As a victim of unfair media twists and manipulations, I hope Pres DU30 creates a body or system that ensures those who intentionally twists or omits the facts be held accountable.

As for proof, Digong or Bato will present it if they are good and ready and if they have it at all. If you really are a Duterte supporter, then have faith in him. If you do not support Duterte and his methods, then though luck. You are in for a long 6 years.

I have faith in the truth and what is right and that's what I love about facebook live vs the news.
Despite being a DU30 supporter, a responsible citizen should not give a blind eye to irregularities within his government.
Mind you that DU30 does not control all actions done under his administration as majority are delegated be it information gathering or actual application of actions, etc. Would you turn a blind eye?

I would echo the same reply given by Cong. Del Mar, "Who signed the order?", certainly not the president nor was due process given as per the Law.

If a media outlet is biased, then people will stop reading/watching/listening and the business will loss money and close down. If a public official is biased, like spreading lies and half truths on social media and deleting criticism and negative posts from his facebook acount, yes he will be able to fool some people some of the time but he will eventually get what is coming to him by the next election. In the case Tomas, he will have his day too.
OT: If Bobby doesn't write or speak as good as you, I wonder what type of standard does the readers have based on your last post?!hehe peace!

All I can say is that there should be a government body that oversees such irregularities be it the media, politicians or even regular individuals of society. Despite having difference in preferences, I believe we both want transparency and the truth.

Yes,, like you I want transparency and truth. Not slanted news from biased media (like Inquierer) and not self-serving social media pages (Tommy's).

Looks like Duterte knew what is going on in Cebu after all. And looks like he either gave the order himself or at least approved it judging from how the police will be provided with 15 new vehicles as well as firearms and allowances. The message to Tommy is very clear. You cannot blackmail the PNP by threatening to withdraw support.

I've read the news this morning on the items to the local police however I doubt that the PNP or especially this Michael Dino can show proof of any recall orders from City Hall on transportation and allowances.

Let's not forget that Michael Dino is affiliated with the party of Rama and Osmena has been known to publicly criticize him thus has an ace to grind.

(I just saw a couple of patrol cars with city hall stickers going to cebu business park and to IT park earlier with police inside them.)

There is no need for anyone to show any proof. It was all over the news in the past few weeks. Tomas was never shy about all the things he said and all the threats he made. While others would have bowed to him, Duterte and Bato just took him at his word and did what they had to do. Whether or not Tomas actually did what he threatened to do is apparently beside the point to them. He bluffed by threatening them, they called his bluff and did one better. Gi sugdan ni Tomas, ilang tiwason. They just showed Tomas that they can and will do their jobs with or without his support and cooperation. And you keep beating on a dead horse. Rama is a none entity in all this. He is a shamed former mayor who is politically dead. Tomas, on the other hand, is the incumbent mayor who seems hell bent on self destructing.

As for Dino, do you think he could actually pull off getting several firearms and 15 vehicles for the local police without Duterte's backing and approval? No way in hell. They is Duterte's way of sending a message to Tomas. He has to shape up or there will be more to come.

    Talk about double standards!hehe
Our dear President DU30 keeps on saying threats all the time to even more powerful countries and organization.

So are you saying it is alright to quickly judge even without due diligence?
I don't think it would be wise to make decisions based on assumptions unless the person has immaculate luck.

All I know is that Dino is either a liar or too lazy to validate the facts.
He is not solving issues in the City but creating more divide.

PS. I just saw another white Toyota Fortuner earlier with City Hall stickers with police blinkers and I think would be real police inside them.

@pacifictrading. You still don'tget it, do you? Let me spell it out for you. No need to present proof because what Tomas did is all over the news. His pronouncement withdrawing support for the PNP, stopping allowances, etc, etc came out in all newspapers and many tvand radio news programs. Whether or not e actually made good on his threats and pronouncements does not matter to Duterte, Bato, Dino and the rest of the PNP. They are just making sure that no matter whet Tomas does, they will be able to do their jobs and protect the Cebuano community.

And sorry, but it is not Dino's job to validate any facts. He just had to tell the President what Tomas said. It is not his fault that the mayor was bluffing. He just made sure that if Tomas was not bluffing, the PNP will still be able to serve the Cebuano community properly. And being prepared for any eventuality is doing a good job.
