I believe the problem lies with the examples and sayings of the very founder of Islam: Mohammed. Mohammed beheaded infidels (ISIS does the same). Mohammed had *** slaves (ISIS does the same). Mohammed said sodomites should be thrown off high places (ISIS does the same).
Mohammed married Aisha when she was 6 years old and consummated (i.e. had *** with her) when she was 9 (one of the very first decrees of the Ayatollah of Iran when he took power was to lower the marrying age of women to 13). Let's think about that one little fact for a while. Girls at 9 years of age don't go around fantasizing about a husband or ***. Here's the deal. You don't have *** with a 9 year old. The only way to have *** with a 9 year old is to rape them.
That's why this fight against Islamic terrorism has to be an ideological war (a war of ideas). The authenticity of Sira and the Hadiths concerning the treatment of infidels has to be questioned. For us (non-Muslims), as Kafirs, our concern with Islam is not its spirituality aspect. Our concern is what Islams says about how Kafirs are to be treated. As it is, it's not good. There's not a good word about us and the treatment is as violent as it gets.
(Note: because the "do-not-generalize" police get so jumpy about criticism of Islam...understand that the statements above is a criticism of Islam the ideology, the idea...not Muslims.)
