Best and Reliable 2.5 HDD for laptop recommendation?

I don't know why but for sure di to kamao jud ilang tech didto. I don't think di mag work ang Toshiba or any 2.5HDD mao nga nag wonder ko nila why di jud mag work nila. Di gani kamao mo pa activate sa Windows 10 mag error daw wala silay resolutions maski gi gitagaan na na sila ug solutions sa microsoft.

Until now wala pa na fix ang HDD issue sa Win10 nag order napud ug lain brand then 1+ month na naka tambay ang laptop didto sa asusworld hahays....

Unsa ni nga laptop? The only time wa ko ka install ug Win10 was sa laptop sa akong cousin. Reason: Drivers not supported at time of release. 3 months later, the same brand/model released new drivers which is now compatible. I was finally able to install win10 sa iya laptop.

Maybe same ta ug issue before? Wa kalusot Win logo iya laptop and wa mo andar iyang fans pero after reverting back to Win 7, na ok ug balik so I thought mao to iya problema.

Try nato research ang problem hehe

Iyang laptop boss kay ASUS K555L series with pre installed Windows 10 then na corrupted ang OS pero the ASUSWORLD suggested to replace the HDD. Then mao lage pag replaced nila 2X Toshiba 1TB HDD wala nag work mo ungot ig 95% daw then mag cge ra ug loop sa ASUS logo di na kalahos. Ila method gi gamit kay USB type OS installation instead of CD/DVD but I think there's no difference.

BIOS Settings error ra ni.

and there is difference with USB | internal DVD | external DVD media installation type.

and also probably the Windows10 version used.
OEM types are different with retail version. gamay ra nuon.

@butitoy: Why BIOS settings error man boss? kay everything is in manufacturer's default factory settings man ang BIOS. And the last time the laptop was OK w/ Windows 10 pre installed and all of a sudden pag reset niya sa laptop using Windows 10 reset feature wala na successful and got corrupted.

Iya plan karon sa ako migo dalaon sa lain Asus Service Center and hoping ma resolve na kay its been couple of weeks na tambay ang laptop didto walay resolutions ang ASUSWORLD APM.

Btw, ingon ang taga ASUS APM ang method ila gi gamit pag install kay USB bootable using their ASUS manufacturer automated tools to partition, install Windows 10 and drivers in all.

Update lang nako ni na thread regarding Toshiba HDD issues. Salamat boss.

if was Windows 10 before, it have no problem with Windows10 now.

it's just a BIOS hiccup.. DAME UEFI!

have encountered a lot already with this kind of issue..

there even Windows 7 compatible new laptops that would not run vanilla Win 7, mangita ug Win 7 SP1.

To share lang... Akoang genuine copy na Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit kay dili mo tiwas ug install kun ang CD/DVD drive kay eternal USB drive hasta USB bootable installation, dili molahos ug install. Pero kun CD/DVD na internal, no sweat amg installation.

Nag palit ko'g lain genuine Win 7 Professional 64 bit. Lani sya, ok ra ang installation sa external USB poweres optical drives and USB stick installation nya.

Kaning mga mananapa, gi buslutan akoang bulsa... Hehehehe

@butitoy: Mao lage boss daghang issues atong masugatan na makutaw jud atong utok. YES UEFI daghang jud problema. Btw kani imong Win10 x64 Gen2 kay genuine ni? Sure boss pls share it to me and others if you like. Thanks in advance.

Sa ako na laptop boss na DELL with windows 10 pre installed wala jud dala na CD OS so nag download ko sa Microsoft website ug genuine Windows 10 iso and downloaded drivers as well then ako i manual install pud in case. Mao naron diay pre installed na on most latest laptop ang windows 10 and drivers and other apps but ang cons mangud ana ug ma corrupt adto napud ka sa service center balik ka and what if ma expire na imong warranty balik napud ka pero duna na bayad mahal raba kaayo. Kay ang mga manufacturers ron duna silay application tools nga all in one na tanan in one click iya na i partition ang hdd, installan ug windws 10, drivers, apps and many more and ready na after that ang laptop/pc pero batian ko ana.

@lloyd_joy: Sir magkatawa jud ta to think ha genuine imong copy nya gipapalit kag new genuine OS ni gana hinoon. Pero I think basin daghan na garas imong genuine windows 7 cd kay sa ako pud na experience naay chance ug USB or external CD/DVD imo gamiton di kalahos ug install jud ilabi na daghan garas imong cd mao nindot ug internal jud aron walay labad. Lage boss mananap jud ning negosyo sa computers.

Update: Ako migo ron gitawagan cya sa APM ASUSWORLD and they're going to replace it with new 2.5 HDD Seagate this time instead of Toshiba. Let see kay ako man cya kuyogan aron mahibalo pud ko ug na resolve na ba.

Windows 8 pa gani to before.. nikalit lang ug corrupt.. then ako gi ilisan ug WD
but installed Windows 7 instead.. salamat sa Ginoo pagtaud nako sa Toshiba hdd
sa akong pc.. na recover pa tawn ang files.. pero wala pa jud nako gi format..
hehe naka tambay ra jud tawn ang hdd..

Wala pajud update sa ako migo. Asus told him to wait kay gi order pa ang seagate replacement sa taiwan hahaha grabeha 4 weeks ang estimated waiting time for arrival of the replacement. I told him to buy nalang ug lain brand oi kaysa mag wait ka then ato nalang installan ug Windows 10, kita nlang mo partition etc...I think di man cguro ma void ang warranty ana even kita lang mo replace sa HDD but still have to confirm to ASUSWORLD if pwede kay hasol kaayo ilang pamaagi oi mo 2-3 months nani na issue iyang laptop ga tambay ra didto.

mao palit nlng ko lain then sila ako gipataod.. bahala na naka gasto..
kaysa maghuwat ug dugay kaau..
