@TS: Your laptop should be capable of playing HD videos at high settings using HDMI smoothly. I suspected its the video player is the problem. Try lang sa 2 solution ako gi hatag and I hope it helps.

@Envy 64Ht - unsa imong g pang play boss MKV or Mp4...kay kaya raman if MP4...mas ganahan man gd ko nga dili na mag taud2x ug hdd sa usb sa t.v dretso nlng nako PC..para full 1080 reso gyd ba.

avi, mp4 or mkv sir. puro h.264 encodes for now.

Doesn't matter sir if u attach the hdd via usb sa tv or from an hdmi directly kay ur tv will still be at 1080i/p. assuming all your media is 1080, otherwise both pc or built-in tv player will automatically upscale media.
