Best and Reliable 2.5 HDD for laptop recommendation?

Hello experts, I'm asking your opinion ug unsa ang maayo ug reliable 2.5 HDD brand? I heard TOSHIBA or HITACHI is one of the best and inexpensive and low failure rate HDD's in the market? ok ba ni cya?

I am about to replace the hdd of my 2 yrs old laptop here but I need more suggestions and recommendations basta di lang kaayo mahal except sa mga hybrid hdd's and ssds.

Your suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

thumbs up ko sa HITACHI, but sa TOSHIBA doubtful ko..
kay naka experience ko dali ra na fail.. maybe gidimalas rapud ko.. hehe
swerte2x rasad hinuon ning maka timing ug mo last nga hdd
other suggestion would be Western Digital (WD) which is mao akong gi replace
sa na fail nga toshiba sa akong laptop.. so far wala pa jud malikoy

Yes boss sakto ka timing timing ra pud. So far naka use ko ug WD ug Seagate dri both desktop and laptop pero ako wala pajud ma suwayi ang Toshiba and Hitachi and wanna try those brands.

Im a user of Toshiba HDDs (2.5" & 3.5"). So far, no problems encountered on all the purchased drives. I preferred these over the other brands kay barato ra. All of my ThinkPad notebook PCs used Toshiba HDDs as stock...

My FreeNAS server here used Toshiba 4 x 2 TB (all desktop HDDs) configured as individual drives. The server is running 24/7.

My FreeNAS servers dha sa Cebu used WD Caviar Green 4 x 1 TB (all Desktop HDDs) and Toshiba 4 x 1 TB (all mobile HDDs) running 24/7. All drives on all servers are configured as individual drives.

Ok thanks Sir Lloyd for your great information and I think I have a go signal to buy Toshiba HDD tomorrow. So far also on my google search mostly Toshiba is good when it comes to 2.5 HDD's so I think this one is good enough.

As per Gaisano Interpace (apm dapit SM), they told me nga their buyers daw for Toshiba have reported problems with their hard drive within the week they bought (pero 3.5" ilang gipasabot, not 2.5"). Which is why they barely or no longer sell this HD. As for hitachi, akong 500gb kay 65% health nalang, and this laptop was with me since 2014.

Na timing an lang na sila bro. In manufacturing, naa man gyud ni. Manufacturer's risk and Buyer's risk. If ang atoang madawat na unit kay "lemon" (escapee), aw, mao gyud na mahitabo. Mao nang naa'y warranty from the manufacturers.

I've spent more than 2 decades on this negative hobby of ours and in all these years, usa ra na HDD nako ang lemon. It was the 1st batch of Seagate Barracuda (7200 rpm IDE) 40 GB that arived in Cebu.

Ang uban, wala gyud ko magub-i except anang sa taas ug sa natagak na HDD kay nag danghag ko (80 GB SATA)... Hehehehe... Ako ang culprit...
