AFAIK kay atu ng Sabah as it was a gift from the Sultan of Brunei ... then leased to a British company while they're still occupying Malaysia

we should really take it back

It's too late. We need to keep our focus on territories that we have tangible claim. As much as I would have liked Sabah to be part of the Philippines, its not happening. Our government failed at keeping that claim legitimate. The best thing we could possibly ask for is a form of compensation.

As far as i can remember , it's now the people of Sabah who will decide if they will join Philippines or Malaysia..

sir are you familiar on the history of sabah and the ongoing rent from malaysian govt that is still being paid to the heirs of the sultanate of sulu which is currently leaving in southern ph?

geographically its not ours since it is closer to malaysia than ph, we just own it...

    a certain shade of green..

but, maybe we should consider who originally owns it.. Brunei, and the history of Borneo. where they are originally part of Malaysia but choose to be a sovereign state on their own by the help of British. claimed the Sabah, gifted to us and now is rented by Malaysia when originally it was theirs.

right right right.. so for now, all we need are hard proofs for our claims to be solidified that it was ours, by any virtue, by gift from who or in whatever form.

IMHO it's not too late ... kay if it's still holds-true that Malaysia-government are still paying the so called rent or lease of the said region to the Kiram's of Sulu then Ph have the chance

and it may be too slim chance but it's not hopeless ... as what bai iampaul07 said that for now, all we need are hard proofs for our claims to be solidified that it was ours

hope somebody can correct me if i'm wrong but i have read an old article before that a referendum was already cast in that region in which the people choose Malaysia ... i think the Ph didn't abide the rulings kay referendum should be agreed by parties involve before it should be implemented

    murag mao2x nga dili

AFAIK ang Sabah man gud kay it's the Kiram's Sultanate of Sulu who have control of it ... then when Malaysia took over from British, the Kiram's transferred the right of there claimed in favor of the Ph government. it was the elder Marcos who accept the challenged as the Ph before was strong compared to Malaysia

well, to make the story short ... hope you can search it also and share it here
