Reset the phone and make sure the box has the same IMEI with the phone. Para sure gyud na ang seller is owner sa phone.

1.) Ask for further information, preferably during meetups. (e.g. : Reasons for Selling, When & Where was the device purchased, Issues, Did this unit undergo repair & Have you dropped the phone in the past?). Analyze the answers logically
2.) Research on the device.

iPhone 5S [Left] & iPhone 5. Please be guided[Right]
3.) Take a really close look at the device.
4.) Verify if the phone is rooted/jailbroken.
5.) Check if the phone is GSM (Galing Sa Magnanakaw) - Phones that doesn't come with a box or a charger at least
6.) Check the issues with the Display
