Kay hilom na man ang issue sa ISIS, does it mean they were now WASWAS? Islamic State is what they want, give it to them already. Withdraw all Christians and send all Muslims around the world back to their Islamic State. And we will live happily ever after. Or ban religion altogether para fair. I can live with it, in fact and I am living that way without a problem.

Like it or not, ISIS has already gained a foothold in the Philippines. BIFF and Abu Sayyaf have pledged allegiance to ISIS.

Quotes from an article in the Malaysian Insider and Express:

* The declaration of the first ISIS Wilayat (province) in Southeast Asia appeared possible after Filipino and Malaysian militants from previously separate jihadist groups pledged allegiance to Isis in an online video released in January 2016.

* Recognition from Isis would certainly increase the attractiveness of Mindanao to jihadists based in Southeast Asia.

* Isis-linked Malaysians were recently deployed by IS ‘central’ to enhance the operational capability of Filipino militants.

* Southeast Asia has already emerged as a key recruitment point for ISIS, with more than 500 Indonesians and dozens of Malaysians joining the group.

Anyone trying to fasttrack BBL without considering this larger context would be sealing the fate of Mindanao. This would be tantamount to handing over Mindanao to ISIS Wilayat on a silver platter.
