Apache Tomcat on Vista Problem

i installed tomcat on vista but i couldnt get it to run my webapps, it works fine on my xp machine but not on my vista machine...

when i tried to run: http://localhost:8080/ it doesnt even show the index page i just keeps on trying to connect....

any solutions...?

have u tried ping localhost or ping 127.0.0.1? If yes, unsa ang reponse nila?

wala ra may problem sa pag ping bay.... murag ang problem kay sa tomcat ug vista..... murag naa pa mga settings nga i change siguro.....

Though, I never installed Tomcat on Vista. Maybe, you should read the log files on which what are the exceptions generated.

For a possible answer, maybe you should ask the tomcat-user mailing list.

Finally got it running bro.... Somehow the windows installer has some compatibility issues so i had to download the .zip from apache and i had to change some settings to make it work....

although the tomcat service runner doesnt work but the startup.bat works so its good to go...
