Default 26 Giant Asian and Euro Firms Vows to Invest in PH if Duterte Wins as President

26 Giant Asian and Euro Firms Vows to Invest in PH if Duterte Wins as President - Okay Dito

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte once again gets a big boost on his candidacy after Asian and European business executives throw their support behind the tough-talking mayor.

On June last year, Duterte was invited to speak to a group of CEOs from Asia and Europe during the 2015 Asia CEO Forum hosted by its chairman Richard Mills.

The forum was attended by almost a hundred local and international; business executives mostly from Europe and Asia. During the forum, Duterte was not cleared yet whether he will run for president.

On Monday, the same group of people gathered in another business forum in Frankfurt, Germany.

Indian business magnate and member of Tata Group Jayesh Singh told German newspaper Spiegel that his group will invest in the Philippines if candidate Rodrigo Duterte becomes the president. He further added that his group believes that Duterte can improve the country’s security.

On the same forum, 25 other chief of companies from Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Denmark, Germany, India, and Austria said they will invest only if Duterte wins.

“Our meeting last June proved that the mayor can change his country. We had a good conversation and most of our concerns were properly addressed”, Australian CEO Rupert Jones told the paper.

The news was warmly welcomed by Duterte’s camp.

Campaign spokesman Danilo Abella said the news proves that the government under Duterte’s administration can easily create local jobs.

The companies who reportedly gave their commitment mostly involved in electronics, automotive manufacturing, power and energy generation, agricultural equipment manufacturing, information technology, metal industry, and waste recycling.

A CEO from Japan promised to bring Japan’s waste recycling technology into the country under Duterte’s administration, according to the paper. /Jovic Juego/

GITABANGAN kay ni top sa survey. PERO TOO LATE. People have already decided.

NOW WE KNOW THE REAL ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE

It is a sad day when all the candidates will gang up on Duterte because he is the one to beat and they are afraid that an outsider will win and change things, real positive change. It is a sad day when our leaders will paint a scenario of injustice and bloodshed when all they have are rumors taken as facts. Not even a single charge was filed and here comes a presidentiable who asks the people not to vote for Duterte based on a rumor when he is telling people not to judge him because the corruption issue against his family are still charges without a conviction. So why can you even afford to face the camera, as a lawyer and make allegations without proof and rely on the presumption of innocence to justify your own candidacy. Worst, by singling out Duterte, you are actually saying, it is better that you vote for your accusers rather than vote for someone who has not been instrumental in the downfall in your public image and who even during the early stages of the campaign always referred to you as a qualified candidate but had to fight back because you started the mudslinging. You would rather that a person of questionable allegiance and sharing the same bed with a foreign soldier enter Malacanan because you think the Mayor of a city that was once a no-mans land is safer to live than your city who was already great to begin with when you took over is rumored to kill petty and young criminals. That is what you are saying sir because you know you will not win. The grassroots cant help you because one of them is running. The very one you despise.

(http://bit.ly/1RThREF)
