Default Power outage during polls - Kepco Cebu Employees Association threatening us

Dennis Derige, spokesman of the Partido ng Manggagawa-Cebu and the one assisting the KCEA said that the upcoming election is their leverage.
"That is our hope nga magkuwang gyud ang power supply in the event we will go on a strike," Derige told The FREEMAN.
"As much as possible we will avoid spillover of labor dispute in the service of the public but if management will persist in their hardline stance in the negotiations we will be forced to wage a strike which could disrupt power supply during elections," Derige added.

Dili na ni maayo ilang gibuhat. Destabilization plot maneh cya. Kon sa gawas pa neh, priso na sila.

They can go on strike whenever they like... basta dili lang intentional sabotage sa mga equipment. Unsa man pod nang mga member anang KCEA mostly laborers, helpers and technicians raman na. The core employees are under the direct employment of KepCo.

KepCo can hire subcontractors for one day to assist them in the operation and maintenance of the plant for just one day.

Sa mga non-technical people, don't worry about it in case they will not report to work on May 9.

    Good timing,
when during the pools electric power is a fundamental need.
DOLE is still too lame to settle labor disputes.
